I didn't really either I think I just did it because I felt like I "should". I didn't enjoy it that first year of college though, and so stopped after that. I'm not really a competitive person, and didn't have that spirit driving me - and diving in college (or at least the head swimming coach) seemed to require that more than HS. Plus, I couldn't get used to the 3m springboard AT ALL.
