  • I cook up an entire bag of green beans, broccoli, carrots, etc instead of just a serving and put it in individual containers and nuke with my next days' dinners. I also set the menu to get in my two fish servings on Monday and Thursday and celebrate TGIF with beef - I can get a nice filet mignon for 2@$5 when on sale. Then its just a matter of filling in the rest of the days with chicken and pork.

P.S. I love SL BL chicken breast baked with salsa on top. Tasty, lo-cal, easy.
  • I eat really simply - and I eat the same things very often. Just find a few simples meals you like and know the calorie counts of, and enter it into an online site like fitday or write it down. You can do it!! People look at me like I'm crazy when I say I've just been calorie counting, but it really does work, clearly, by all the people we see on this site who find success!

Coondocks - Just had to say, I love your new avatar pic!! You look so great!
  • Caring4Myself,

I'm from VA and I am currently doing Diet-to-go as well. Since I recently found out that I have a soy intolerance, I will be canceling the service. However, it has made getting started that much easier. I am so glad that I did it. I think planning my menu will be a little easier because I have to watch what I buy. So far I enjoy the choices that I do have.

We can do it! 's from VA!

  • i am a huge fan of chicken breasts. you can change the flavor based on how and what you cook it with. i have all kinds of different glazes/toppings ex. pinapple mango if i want a tropical flavor, thai garlic plum for asian, salsa with some avacado for southwest, spaghetti sauce with veggies for a pasta-y type meal, various hot sauces and bbq sauces. so even though I mainly eat chicken every day, it doesnt feel as boring as it likely should

Thanks. I can definitely say it gave me a jump start. I just have to continue to keep it going on my own.
