  • I'm gonna start using that cinnamon
  • Both Chromium and Cinnamon are great, But I think you also need to look at what other suppliments to take?
    how are your magnesium levels?
Biotin also helps with insulin sensitivity.
BUT you totally should have more tests done - you really don't know what condition your body is in if you've never been tested properly.
If you like I have a list of tests that are all covered by insurance that docs "should" test for to get a clear picture??
I'd be more than happy to share!!!
  • I've taken chromium in the past, several times, it never helped at all.
  • I have a ? for those of you who are taking the cinammon... are you also taking Metformin? Since they both impact blood sugar levels, I'm a little nervous to start on cinammon while taking the Met (1000mg/day). If others are taking both and doing fine, it'd make me feel better about trying it.

    TIA!
  • Chook - I would love to have that list.

I just found a doc (endo) who was willing to order tests to check my hormone levels. I would like to compare what she ordered to your list.

I wanted her to see how bad the hair on my face gets (sideburns and beard) so I didn't shave or pluck for 2-3 weeks. I looked horrible for Christmas but it was worth it to get the tests ordered..
  • MoveMoveMove, there's a great list available at http://pcosfaq.com
  • There are 2 types of cinnamon. One is much more effective than the other one. The country of origin matters. When I just searched I couldn't find what I was looking for. I think the Sri Lanka cinnamon is suppose to be the more effective one.
The kind from the grocery store isn't suppose to have the benefits that the right kind has.
