  • Hey Kierie - I'm late to the party (what else is new!). I tried an elimination diet last winter and found that wheat is a huge trigger for my inflammation too. Of course sugar is also a big problem. So far eggs and small amounts of dairy (we just don't eat a lot) seem okay and luckily the nightshades don't cause me trouble. I've got psoriatic arthritis and degenerative disc disease and am managing to avoid meds so far.
  • Cyn there is always room for you at my party! I tried straight up milk (ok with coffee) and my stomach killed cheese so far has been ok I'm just not having cheese fest like I did before
I'll be experimenting wiht peppers tomorrow as I have to bring my own entree ( and dessert if I so desire) to the James' fam dinner
  • Could you be lactose intolerant ? My DD is. We found this out a few months ago when she was coming home ever day with her stomach inside out. We cut out milk and cheese for a few days and poof.. gone. I started her on Lactose Free milk (which is really good btw) and she does wonderful on it.

I am learning more and more about lactose free diet... she can eat mozzarella cheese (pizza) and hard cheeses but softer cheeses have the sugars that upsets her stomach.

FORGET ice cream... its a killer.

  • Leens Soy Ice cream the brand is soy delicious is VERY GOOD (I buy it when I go to shabbat atmy gfs) also Tofutti cuties are awesome little tofu icecream sandwiches they taste like the ones you'd get in school.

we had grits (bob's red mill gf cereal) and eggs this morning I ha a smidge of cheese but very little and was ok but No dairy fests any more and I had a colby jack cheese stick the other day it was fine but lol doesn't taste good to me any more!
I think it's both the gluten and the lactose my sis and My mom have lactose issues
