  • I have to say I have been to the Melting Pot once and you're paying for atmosphere and the experience. I know my old roommate had a fondue cooker thing he bought somewhere. You could get one a heck of a lot cheaper and all of the food for you to have at the house than to eat out. You're probably looking at around $100 for the 2 of you to eat there.

I love all of these ideas. I'm a small things kind of girl... so sometimes its a matter of sending a card just to say "I'm thinking about you and I love you" or picking up a cd or movie he wants like Haley said.

Favorite home cooked meals are always good.

If you wanna go naughty you could always have a romantic dinner set up but when he gets home you could be cooking in the kitchen in just an apron and some heels. LOLOLOLOL

I love stars/anything celestial so I've always wanted to go on a picnic on the hood of a car during a meteor shower in a big open field away from light pollution.

    That's just me though.

    PS - CONGRATS!!!!!
  • Yay! Congratulations!

So maybe stay away from the alcohol for now but sounds like you've got lots of other great ideas!

My stepsister had a fondue kit that she bought from like Linens N Things or something like that. It was definitely cheaper than going to that place you are talking about, and then you can chop up all your own vegetables and choose what you want and your boyfriend will appreciate the effort you put into preparing it for him. Apologies for mentioning alcohol again (weird for me because I barely drink lol) but if your boyfriend is a beer drinker, there's an amazing beer batter you can put on vegetables before you fondue them if you are thinking of doing an oil fondue. It tastes sooooooo good. Since you're preggers and eating healthier anyway, it probably wouldn't appeal to you regardless of alcohol content but if he's a beer fan I imagine he'd enjoy it. It's a very subtle taste as well (I don't like beer but this stuff is yummy). You could also do chocolate or cheese fondue. Chocolate with some strawberries and other goodies could be quite sensuous.

Darn it, now I want cocktails and fondue! LOL.
  • What about a sexy scavenger hunt? Or if you kept it kind of a suprise clues or hints through the day as to what the suprise might be... and then something like a fondu picnic and a special "outfit" or something for after... Good for you for keeping the romance going and congratulations!
  • Thanks for all the wonderful support!! You all have really helped me!! That scavenger idea sounds great! I'll have to start thinking how to incorporate all these ideas into one great date! I hope he's blown away. I'll keep you all posted!! Thanks for being there!
