We are from the same town!!!!!

Quote: Calorie counting is the only thing that has worked well for me, because I can really eat whatever, as long as I count it. In doing this you also learn that you can have much more to eat if you use those calories wisely and make healthy choices!
In the past, I fought to the "death" calorie counting but I also didn't lose nor keep the weight off long. Now, that I am counting every single calorie to the best of my abilities I am losing weight. I just read on another post that you can't out exercise bad food choices. That was something else I used to do. I would have homemade fudge (this was a few years ago) and then decide how long I needed to walk on my treadmill. Dumb! Dumb!

Now, I have a set amount of daily calories to eat and I do my best to stick to them. I too am finding out that although there are foods that I would really like to have right now (like Classic Lay's potato chips) I just don't want to "spend" my calories on that for the brief amount of enjoyment that I would get out of them.

I'm getting this! I am finally getting this.
