Good morning, ladies. Just popping in before I head off to class, then my Internship, of course. I'll be so glad when I finish it, it's just so stressful!

Sharon - He's doing much better, thanks. Mom said he'll be in the hospital this week, and next week for rehab, since he wasn't able to walk for a couple of days, and to regain more strength, etc. He's doing so much better in the last two days though than we had thought, and the doctors believe he may make a full recovery, which is great.

I was gone for a couple of weeks, pretty much, so I missed what's going on with hubby, but I take it he's either sick or injured? Or just being a pain? lol. Glad to hear that you're able to get your workouts in though! How's that whole situation with your son going? Any less stressful? I sure hope so!

Thanks kayley, son is sending nasty texts & still hasn't returned my jewellery box (a 40th birthday pressie from hubby!!). Hubby is being a swine (that's the 'polite' version!!!!) but hey there's always divorce, lol! I hope you SD gets better soon, at least he's getting the right care.xxxxx

I came home last night from work with a temp and bodyaches. I litterally laid on the couch and hubby held me to keep me warm cause I was shaking so bad. I feel a little better this morning but I dont think I am going to work. It is slow at work and they wont miss me. My youngest has been sick since sunday. Slight fever and a really bad cough. So I think we might get him into the dr today. He has missed so much school this semester.And believe me the schools have no compassion about it.

Good Morning ladies..today was another day that i did my 1 hr 15 min circuit training followed by a 45 min 3 mile walk and then right after that i had some breakfast and then i cleaned house for about an hour and now im getting ready to go get cleaned up after i finish this. I'm just kind of frustrated today though girls the scale is fluctuating between 288-286 and i dont understand why because i have been working my butt off this week exercising plus i have been doing good calorie wise all week so i dont understand why it is not saying less could it be because i do a circuit training workout using 5 lb weights every other day and i have been doing that for over a month now? I find it hard to believe that i would have hit a plateau already this soon cause i thought plateaus only happen when you get closer to your goal weight and i am far from that so i dont know im not gonna let it stop me from concentrating on working out and watching what i eat hopefully soon maybe i will have a big whoosh and loose 5 lbs one week that would be nice but if this keeps up i definately wont make 50 lbs by december 19th which is only 2.5 weeks away..grrr..i just gotta keep on keepin on

kayleystar..did you watch biggest loser last night? could you believe that danny lost 59 lbs in 60 days that was just shocking i couldnt believe it i sat there with my mouth dropped open lol..im glad to hear that your stepdad is doing alot better

voodoo..I got some hamburgers, onions, cheese, milk, potatoes, and tomatoes so tonight we are having hamburgers..yum that is one of my favorite meals.

Heather, fluctuations happen for *many* reasons. I am guessing it is your exercise causing your muscles to hold onto water. These fluctuations are perfectly normal and you will make yourself crazy if you let a 2 lbs up fluctuation get you down. Unless you ate 7000 calories above and beyond what you needed to eat to merely survive...it is not a true weight gain.

Also, where did you read that plateaus only happen when you are near goal? That is totally untrue! I have had several and I am no where near my goal. They happen when your body takes a break and lets itself "catchup" with all of the changes you are putting it through.

Good luck hitting the 50 lbs, but if you don't make it by your goal date...keep at it...you will get there!

LOVED Biggest Loser last night! I like Danny and want him to win. Not a Rudy or Amanda fan. I voted to keep Liz in the Finale as she really is at the point where this might be her last chance to get her health and life back.

Oh well...thats it from me....quiet forever and then you can't shut me up! Take care everyone!

I dont know where i heard that about plateaus i think i read it somewhere i just didnt think it would happen to me this soon already but like i said i will keep on keepin on!

I've only had a thousand calories today. I didn't eat until 2pm, so that put me well behind. I'm still afraid to get on the scale. If it is a good number, I have the tendency to think I can treat myself, and if it is a bad number, I'll think I've failed, so why bother. The best thing is just to ignore the scale for awhile. I don't think I've lost any inches yet, but I feel lighter if that makes any sense. I'll go with it for now.

Catherine - it makes perfect sense. I wish I could avoid the scale - I've come to terms with it and I do get on it every single morning - some days I love it and other days (after 3 days of grazing from Thanksgiving) it is a huge reality check. I'm almost glad that I gained 12 pounds in 3 days - it is such a signal that my body likes the way I normally eat. Have I told you how proud I am of you?

morning ladies...

Hubby took our youngest to the dr yesterday. She said he probably has the swine flu due to his symptoms but that he is at the end of it. i don't know how she knows it is swine rather then the regular flu..but she is the dr I guess. She is a new Dr we are seeing and my hubby and kids have both seen her. There are only 2 Drs at this office and hubby and kids say she is so nice and caring. I go next week for my well woman..so i am happy she is the kind of dr that will listen to ya.

Catherine: I know somedays I hardley eat anything. Although I am not counting calories..seems like the following day I eat more to make up for it. I am sure that is not good for my body either. IGNORE the scale! I swear those things are just evil lol.

I have days that I don't eat as much because I am not hungry or I am just too busy to even think about it. They balance out the days that I am REALLY hungry and eat until I am no longer hungry. It has worked for me so far.

Good morning ladies..no exercise for me this morning because i had to go to the doctors this morning and its a free clinic but they only take so many walk-ins per day so we had to be there at 7:30 and i went to get a lump under my arm checked and the doctor said its not cancer it is probably just a cyst from some of the symptoms i told her about so that made me happy but there was another concern she had and that is my blood pressure was high so she wants me to come back in 2 months and have it checked and then we will take it from there but she said that i am doing the right thing as far as losing weight and exercising so she said to keep up with that and watch my sodium so all in all it has been basically a good day so far and after my husband gets off of work we are going to go grocery shopping so looking forward to that cause i need to get some more healthy food.

Morning Ladies!
Today I did my Wii Fit, its something fun to do while its been raining lately. I hate being cooped up in the house I cant wait til it starts warming up again and I can go outside for a walk.

I sewed most of the day, and took the evening off to go to a Christmas party. I've been doing so good that I wanted to relax for one night. Even so, I couldn't overeat. I ate fruit and a steamed spinach bun. All the fried stuff just didn't look good to me. That's an amazing thing.

Quickly popping in here this morning...been way busy again this week. We have a felony trial this week, so it's been nuts at my Internship.


Heather hb - I couldn't believe it when I saw Danny had lost 59 lbs in 60 days. That was just amazing. He looked great! I'm totally rooting for him in the finale! He's a good guy, I hope he wins.

That is great Catherine that you were able to pass on the fried stuff! Its also good that you gave yourself a nice relaxing night out. We need to treat ourselves well!
