A couple of things to help you cope:

    1) The hate the food thing doesn't last forever. Somehow, once your body kicks sugar, your taste actually changes. Not completely, but you won't notice that protein flavor everything has so much.

    2) Break out the spice cabinet girl! My husband and I spice up everything. Add garlic salt and chili powder to the chili. (Or anything else that suits your fancy - as long as you keep an eye on the carb/fat content. ) I love ortega chilis and put a teaspoon of chopped ones in there with taco seasoning sometimes. We especially like g. salt and curry in the chicken noodle, which handles a lot of different combinations really well. It's our favorite lunch food from Medifast, because we can eat it a lot and change the flavor so we don't get tired of it. Try adding Better Than Boullion to the soups and frozen Crystal Light cubes to your shakes. They have a lot of different flavors. I love adding Crystal Light Pineapple/Orange frozen cubes to a banana shake for breakfast. You can mix and match. Don't feel because you're eating prepared foods that you can't make them your own. You can!
  • Hello - I'm a newbie to this forum.

I started MF back in March of this year. I did really well for about 3 months. I lost 15+ pounds and felt really good. I lose slower on it than most as I have a severe case of Crohn's Disease so when that flares up I have to back off on the MF for a few days.

The summer was really hard for me emotionally due to several factors and I completely fell "off the wagon." I gained back about 8lbs that I had lost in the Spring.

Starting a week ago I started back on MF again. This time I am keeping a diary of my progess in a blog. I feel that has really helped. I hate, hate, HATE talking about weight in person so writing in my "blog diary" has helped me feel better about my progress.

I lost 4lbs last week so I am encouraged by that.

My blog is located at: http://rabidalley.blogspot.com/

  • Welcome, Rabid, and Good Luck!!!
  • Here again
Well. Everyone was sure right about NEVER cheating on Medifast. I lost 9 pounds in 8 days then gained back 3 in ONE WEEKEND. not that I cheated like crazy... I just wasnt eating my medifast food and waasnt eating many times a day. However, Im back on and lost the 3 pounds I gained so In down 9 pounds total in a week n 2 days...

THE EGGS are just TOO Gross I CANNOT eat them. so instead I have been eating a hardboiled egg in the mornings with a bottle of water. Ive been losing just the same this way as I was before.

Anyway. Ive also been adding a teaspoon of hot salsa and a teaspoon of sour cream to the chilli and seeing results regarudless of this either.

Im really finding as long as I keep my carbs low the fat isnt really affecting my weight loss.

the hardest part for me is the eating a bunch of times per day (with a 4 mo old baby i dont really have alot of time to myself) and if I am out and about i forget to bring food.

Anyways all in all, things are going well again and I will post again soon.

and THANKS to everybody who sent tips and tricks!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I hated the eggs too, but if I added a little ketchup it helped. The longer your on Medifast the better they taste....LOL
  • I like the eggs. I think they taste like real ones. Chives and some pepper...

Gotta say there was nothing I could do to tolerate the chilli.
  • Hate the eggs? - Make muffins! I imagine that there is a recipe for the muffins in the recipe thread - mine uses pudding, oatmeal and eggs - makes 6 muffins with 6 medifast meals - they are great! If you need a recipe - just holler! The muffins have totally saved me and they are portable!
  • Yeah, post it, please. I make oatmeal ones but pudding in there sounds like it could be good, too. I like making portable things. Saves me planning time and planning is one of my areas of "suckiness"
