time of the month question

  • I gain about 2 lbs :S
  • I have to be the luckiest girl on the block because I tend to gain 3-5 pounds when I ovulate and then also right before my period starts. It has been getting me so down, that I literally decided to only weigh once a month, on the seventh day of my cycle (because that's typically when all of the crazy weight has left the building). I figure I'll get a better picture of my overall loss that way, and I won't stress about the scale not reflecting a change when I know I've been doing so well!

  • i usually gain about 1 pound prior to tom and then another during. the pound during is mostly due to my inability to stay away from all things chocolate during those 4-5 days! i just make sure that my water intake is high and that i keep my system flushed out. i have no problems with the weight coming right back off after tom leaves. i think mostly it is water weight anyhow.
  • Around two weeks before mine, I start to level off. No weight gain. THe week before I start to put on weight. It all depends on what I eat, I guess cause I can gain anywhere from 1 pound to 6 pounds. It all comes back off, but if I stick to my guns during this time (and the actual flow time). I will not just lose that weight but more. THat is hard to do sometimes, being more tired and not wanting to exercise, but also --- the cravings!!! So I keep my fingers crossed to break even when tom is over.
  • I don't gain during a period however I never lose weight during period week...not even an ounce. The following week I usually have a good loss though, so it's all about being patient.
