Ok, you are probably right, but my avatar stats are old (how very sad that I gained)…and I am 37 now……..so let see……..
(204x4.5)+(67x15.88)-(37x5)-161=1958
20% of 1958=392
30% of 1958=587
And, if I understand correctly (after re-reading Tina’s original post…..again), to lose one half pound per week, we subtract 250 per day……or if you want to lose 1 lb per week, we subtract 500 calories per day. I don’t know where I got 1 ˝ pounds from. I guess I should slow down when I am reading.
So, to lose ˝ lb per week at 30% (which I think I fall into), I would need to take in 1958+578-250=2295
At 20%:
1958+392-250=2100
And to lose 1 lb per week at 30%, I would need to take in
1958+578-500=2036 for 1 ˝ lbs 2036-250=1786
At 20%:
1958+392-500=1850 for 1 ˝ lbs 1850-250=1600
Does that seem better? So, maybe when I am looking at my fitday calculations, I should probably shoot for anywhere between 1600 and 1750 calories?
Kim and Barbara……….my math checkers……is that correct?
