dogpal: I'm sorry you're not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon!
lkpabst: Thanks for the welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your ankle. I sprained my foot pretty bad a little over 3 weeks ago. It hurt so bad, I thought it was broken. The doctor told me it should be well within 2-3 weeks, but it's been 3 weeks and 2 days today and it is still not healed.

I think it's time to take another trip to the doctor. Sad to say, I haven't been getting any exercise since then because even walking exacerbates my injury! How to get through life without walking, I wonder?
On the other hand, I did take an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxant last night. Slept like a baby (fitfully, but well) for about 12 hours and woke up to no pain in my foot. Swelling had gone down, too. I'm doing my best to stay on my butt today, but it's difficult. I've been staying on my butt as much as possible for the last 3 weeks, I'm really tired of it. Of course, I think that's how I exacerbated it in the first place, trying to do too much.
I live in Austin, so I went to SXSW a little over a week ago. The map gave me an inaccurate view of where this place was, so I ended up hiking about a mile on my gimpy foot. Then, this last weekend I went to a show produced by some friends of ours and the drummer for one of the bands pulled the fire alarm, so we had to evacuate and wait for the fire marshall. The gent who had been performing came outside and continued to perform on the sidewalk, but there I was, putting all my nearly 300 pounds on my gimpy foot for about 20 minutes. Ouch!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to a much more peaceful week of R&R and maybe I'll get myself into the doc to get my foot looked at again.
Andrea
