I buy my own calcium tablets...they are chewables also. Taste like oranges. I am not sure how much you pay for the ones at the center, but you may want to look at the drugstore next time you are there.

I know I was supposed to ask about something at the center...but I think I forgot. What was it again?

I am going to weigh in Saturday morning...as usual. I am hoping to be down at least one lb. Just one pound would make me SOOO happy!

Ok, so I've shared my funky squash casserole and feta shrimp and pasta recipes. What do you guys eat to stay OP? Any help would be appreciated. I need some variety! (besides what's available in the cookook -- I've thumbed through it, but most of the recipes seem a little too "involved" for one. maybe it's just me)

Hey Ladies,

How's everyone? Well, I finally made it back to the center. I was last there on the 23rd & then today, the 2nd. They wanted to scold me a little... I told them that I was doing the best that I could... with work & quarter's end reports... & in addition this crude... fever & chills... told them that I wuz trying to stay clear as not to make everyone sick... although, I still don't feel well.

The good news... I was down 1 - 1/2 pounds! Hooray! Told my counselor that I was not real pleased with the results of the 2-day takeoff... that I felt starved & had a sick headache... told her now as I looked back that it may have been the start of this crude or a combination of the two... told her that I had exceeded the 2 colas per day while having this mess... wasn't eating all my foods... & hoped to feel better next week... I hope!

BunnyBlues, I eat a lot of chicken... I like to grill it in the skillet & have a grilled chicken salad. I also like to cut up an apple and put in my low sodium tuna to make a tuna salad. I have taken zuchinni & tomatoes & kinda simmered them till tender & melted some reduced fat cheese on them... Which plan are you on? I'll try to share something else later... but, I'm really not thinking clear tonight.

Laroxanne, I, too, get discouraged with the counselors... but, I have to keep telling myself... that I'm attempting this for me... NOT them... & apparently, I had not done so well alone... so, here I am... with all that's gone on the last few weeks... I really thought about just not going back... then, I thought... I am going to try to stick it out... for me. I really have enjoyed this site and making new friends... I think that the ladies here do more for my motivation than my counselors!

Sorry... had a phone call from my friend... mother of the bride... wedding on the 24th... Sat after Thanksgiving... wanted to discuss menu for reception...

I just wanted to say that I hope that your weigh-in goes GREAT, as you are hoping... down a pound or so... you are doing GREAT! keep up the good work.

I'm starting to sweat... that is the worrying kind... should be exercising more... duh, ... I had hoped to be to the 200 mark by Christmas... but, I'm at 220 now... that means 20 lbs to go.... I'm going to try... I'm not giving up just yet on my Christmas wish... but, if I can just be a tad over 200... I will still feel like I've accomplished something... considering I was at 249 Aug 14th.... 29 pounds gone bye, bye.. hope that they never come back... still facing a long road.... but I'm going to keep going... down, down, down... I hope!

Diane, it sounds as if you are so close to reaching your goal... keep up the good work. Congrats! I'm sure that you are looking good and hopefully feeling good. That 2-day takeoff is rough! I opted for it vs the 3-day thinking that it would be easier than doing without my fruits for 3 days... but, don't really want to try it again... just not enough food for me... then, I felt that I would binge on anything... but the day following... I had to force myself to eat... had a hard time... I don't think that is the best way.

I am always supposing that I should be happier with having a loss of weight... but, I want to feel well & not deprived. I try saying what I can have instead of... rather, than saying I can't have something... sometimes it helps... sometimes it doesn't. What I find most puzzling is that when I stick OP with the orange drink... I don't loose what I think I should... I guess the very beginning ruined me & I expect too much.... but, I'm not going to be knocking any doors down to do the 2-day takeoff anytime soon... rather do the 3-day.

I have only done the 3 day Take-Off once...when I first started the program. I did not lose anything the first 3 days!! I did, however, lose 5 the week after and 4.5 the week after that. I dont like the Take-Off drinks and I feel deprived when I am on the program, so I am hoping they never ask me to do it again. As long as I dont plateau out I think I will be fine.

I got a job offer in Augusta GA that is almost too good to pass up. I still have some time to think about it, but it is a big move. They also dont have a center in Augusta, so I am hoping they will refund my program costs and my bulked LA Lites if I go. I am going to ask them today. The old manager told me they would....so the new one better say the same thing.

I just went to the center and I am down 1.6 lbs!! WOOHOO The next time I go weigh-in I will be out of the 260s. I have been doing this program for 3 months and have lost almost 30 lbs. I think I am doing great. We are all doing great!!! *pat on the back for everyone*

I have decided that I really like the new manager at our center. She talked to me for about 30 minutes this morning. She is very nice and seems genuinely concerned. She also gets really excited when I lose. I hope she stays for a while!!

The St. Louis area has several (5 or 6 I think) LAWL centers. She told me the person who has been there the longest out of all the centers had only been with LAWL for a year and a half. She said she doesnt understand why the staff turnover is so high.

I bought a bag of frozen peach slices earlier this week at the store. I put some milk, LA Vanilla shake, and a few frozen peach slices in the blender. It is really thick, creamy, and yummy! Fruit is getting more expensive and I am getting sick of apples, so this is a good way to get some variety in and stay on plan.

Hi Everyone:
I made it through the take-off did pretty well down 2 1/4 lbs.
When I do the take off I usually stick to beef for those two days, I did not feel as drained if I had chicken or something else.
Jibbelle a new staff will be starting at our center on Monday the manager hopes it is going to work out well, I think she is tired of working by herself. I think you wanted to ask about your rebate, how many times a week you had to go. Congrats on your 30 lb loss. I am sick of apples to but I went apple picking so I have some left. Good luck with the Job . Jibbelle why don't you take the lites with you, if you take the job and continue the program here.
Nancy i changed my Christmas wish also I wasn't sure I would make it either. Good Job with the weight loss. I can't wait to finish.

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all of your support! I think that I have hit rock bottom! None of my clothes are fitting and I went and tried on clothes today and I cannot even find a pair of size 16 jeans to fit me. I mean not even close. I have never been this big before. I am truly devistated. I really want to try and do the program on my own and not worry about the center. I am gonna try and weigh in 3 times a week here at home and I will report to you guys. Is that okay? I am truly a mess right now. I hate that I have let it get this bad. I am soooo embarressed that I don't want to leave the house. I want to just cover myself up in baggie clothes and tshirts. I just want to hide for now. I feel like my friends are all looking at me and talking about me behind my back. I feel like my husband is disgusted with me. Why would he want to touch me? I am sorry to be such a downer...I guess I just need to get all of this out. I feel like such a failer. I can't lose weight and now all I can do is gain. This is just awful. I look at food and I gain. We went and looked at a treadmill today. Hopefully we can purchase it in Dec. It will be our Christmas present to each other. Anyway...it sounds like all of you are still doing so well. CONGRATS!

Sorry that you are feeling bad... I've missed your posts... I'm hoping that you will visit us more often... I wish that I knew what to say to pep you up... just know that we all care and that we want you to feel better and to feel better about yourself. And of course we want you to keep in touch.

Each time I log on... I search to see if Marcie is reminding us to drink our water... miss you... haven't forgotten you... hang in there... you can do this... just do it for the right reasons... I don't know your husband... but, I imagine that he just wants you happy... we all come in different shapes and sizes and it's whats on the inside that makes us beautiful... if folks just judge others for their outward appearances... then those folks are the shallow ones.

Your Christmas goal sounds good... I hope that you reach it. A treadmill would be a nice Christmas gift... I had purchased the "Walk away the Pounds" video... I really like it... but, the past few weeks... I haven't done it... hope to start back this week... at least 3 times a week... can you walk in your neighborhood... perhaps you and your husband could start walking together a couple of times a week.

One of my counselors told me that stress was bad to cause you to gain weight... even without overeating.... so, try a soothing bath or just sit on the porch or find a quiet time for yourself...

I'm going to go take some tylenol & go to bed... fever again... tired of this mess...

I hope that everyone has a GREAT OP week and keeps up the good work. Marcie, I hope that you see a little more sunshine in your days this week... we care... it'll work out...

It is great to hear that you are back...although I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I know you can do this though!!! We both have about 10 lbs to lose to get to our Christmas goals so lets get on it!!! WE CAN DO IT!!! I bet we can even do better than 10 lbs!By Christmas you will be back in those size 16 jeans...or better yet....those 16s will be too big.

I am eager to hear about your progress so keep us posted!! WE are all here for you...dont forget that.

I am still contemplating that move to Augusta...it would be a big one. I need to talk to a few more people here at work and see how beneficial it would be to my career. Matt and I made our own list of pros and cons last night....but I want to make sure that I am not missing anything. Such a big decision to make!

I talked to the lady at the center about refunding if I moved. She said for sure the bulked LA lites get refunded. She thought the program costs except for a $69 program fee and whatever I have used in weeks so far also got refunded...but she needed to ask the manager to make sure. Sounds ok so far.

Better get going...lots of work and studying to do today. I have another test on Thursday. ARGH.
