  • im realy excited to get started. its hard to get used to a lifestyle change though. it may take me a while to get situated. i realy appriciate all the warm responses!

    does anyone have any advice for helping my family and friends understand that i am serious about this? so far they are just writing it off, its a litte discouraging.
  • Ignore them. Find your niche, hold your pace, when they see the results they'll shut up.

    It's not hard to fit some simple things into your lifestyle. Stairs, parking far away, brown bagging your lunch, etc. Get those things in, then start up a little more, maybe some WATP or taebo(sp?) videos, then look into strength training. I have a book called Strength Training for Women and it looks pretty good, there's very little actually stuff needed for it, just some dumbells, mat, resistance bands, and a ball, really. It has routines for beginner, intermediate, and advance fitness levels.

    I hope that helps.
  • interesting :: Ponders :: =)
