I tossed my stretchy armband ages ago

I'm not familiar with the Sandisk - does the player or its holder have some sort of belt clip? (my Rio had a belt clip that the armband sort of threaded through - I just clip it to my waistband).

I second what Chick in the hat says - once you get a good mix in there then you shouldn't have to mess with the player at all although I like to add new stuff and take out old tired stuff pretty often!

Sorry. I think a lot of people may not know the songs I'm talking about..maybe if some heard the song, they'd know. But seriously, upbeat/fast paced songs really get me going and it keeps me on track.

I like to listen to all kinds of music, whether slow or fast, because I like to belt out songs when I exercise, lol. I do have a rather horrible singing voice, though.

Oasis, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate, Queen, Grease (movie soundtrack), Wicked (play soundtrack), and a few songs from other artists are what can be found on my iPOD. I could send you some songs if you'd like.

Mrs. Jim, the Sandisk doesn't have a clip. It's more of a loop that the armband goes through. But someone on the WalkingSite suggested buying a small cellphone holder that has a clip, so I might do that.

JuliaTN, I am in love with Latin music. I particularly like Carlos Vives (Colombia), Polo Montanez (Cuba), Eliades Ochoa (from Buena Vista SC) and others. I just discovered Amadou and Miriam from Mali. They are blind, husband and wife, and have a rocking new CD called Dimanche et Bamako (something like that). It is excellent to walk to. Manu Chao produced it. Another excellent walking CD is Orquestra Baobab, which is from Senegal. I learn about a lot of this music from the Putumayo collections.

I love hip hop(the kind you'd find in a club)..or 80's to exercise too. I'll even dance to the music while cleaning the house. It counts, right?..lol

I just have a regular ol' portable CD player and that works fine for me. The player itself fits in the pocket of my pants or shorts and it has anti-shock (or whatever it's called - it doesn't skip if it gets jarred). I have downloaded a bunch of songs off of i-Tunes (99 cents a song) and have assembled a bunch of lively songs that I really like - mostly it is '80s country songs that they don't play on the radio anymore, with a scattering of bluegrass and Cajun stuff. (Yeah, I have unconventional taste. )
