What about quiznos? I'm in love with their Black and Blue salad on which I replace the Blue cheese with Mozerella. It's basically fairly lean beef, salad mix, cherry tomatos and balsamic vinagerette.
Anyone have thoughts on Cotton Patch's meatloaf?? The steamed veggies are pretty much a given but I wondered about the Meatloaf?
I was able to pass up the bread - tough but I did it.
See if they have a website that lists ingredients. Many meatloafs have fillers or are made with meat that is high in fat. I make my own meatloaf with very lean ground beef and whole wheat bread crumbs but most restaurants wouldn't.

I'm sure they have alot of other good salads too.

I regularly eat the Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad (toss the crunchy noodles to the puppy). I put a SPARING AMOUNT of the dressing in the lid, close, and shake well to disperse the flavor of the dressing on the salad. I'm talking maybe 1/2 tsp. They keep the salads chilled and this one has mandarin oranges in it, so there seems to be some humidity that mixes and dilutes the dressing.
Yummy salad, very good for the diet, good lettuce.
WW, I don't think the mandarin oranges are safe. Mandarin oranges are, in my experience, always canned in a sugar syrup. Here's what the website says are in the oranges:
They don't show the grams of sugar for the oranges alone, but show it mixed with the lettuces, and that has 12g of sugar. I doubt the lettuce has much sugar, so I'd assume that the majority of that is coming from the Mandarin oranges. A fresh clementine (a variety of mandarin orange) has 6.8g sugar, so the ones in the salad have about twice as much sugar as fresh fruit.
I'd go for something different, though you are right--it has great lettuce!
You're right, it's not entirely legal. I did subsist almost entirely on a diet of Wendy's chili and Mandarin salad for a week and lost 3 pounds with no exercise (FIL in hospital, Wendy's nearby), so I think it's a YMMV, "in a pinch" sort of thing. Just like the sodium and sat fat in the chili is too high for regular consumption.
Not to belabor the point, but the segments are put dry on the lettuce, so I don't know how much sugar goes through the cell wall by osmosis. I'm glad you brought up the hidden sugar though, I wouldn't (and didn't) have though of it.
As far as Taco Bell goes, they have a Fresco menu that contains less fat, more vegetables (well, more lettuce and tomato that is.) You can order a taco or burrito off the Fresco menu and eat the filling (has plenty of lettuce and tomato), and it comes with reduced fat sour cream. Then you can have a delicious and cheap side of pintos and cheese.
