Hi,
I had a nice birthday and we got the camper out there in the afternoon. Since we were both tired and DH is either sick or his allergies are getting worse, we called it an early night. Today, he was going to mow, but it's rained for an hour now. I came home to feed the animals and weedeat, but don't think I'll do much of the weedeating today either.
Aleka, I sent and saw the picture and I bet that is really something to have a large field of that around your house. I joined, but then couldn't find any more pictures. Are there any more and if so, where would I look? That might be a place Lynn could post pictures too.
I actually prefer chicken thighs to breast. I eat the breast, because it's lower in fat, but I think the thighs have more flavor.
My favorite part of camping is cooking over a fire. Hard to believe huh? If I had a lot of money, I'd have a large kitchen with a built in fire pit so I could do it all the time. DH has offered to build me a fire ring outside so I could cook at home like that, but so far, the offer stands, but the fire ring is not materializing. He does have a fairly long list of stuff to get around to, so I suppose that will be something for on down the road.
Better get moving, Nikki

nikki, I just went into the site where the photos are. When the page comes up after you sign in, there is a photo on your right. In the green stripe at the top and bottom you will see PREVIOUS and NEXT. Just click "NEXT" and the next photo should appear. There are 13 or 14 pictures. The woman in the red with her back to me is my girlfriend. If you have anymore problems seeing them, let me know. The last thing I ever cooked over an open fire were roasted marshmallows.

Hi Everyone: Just a short post, I never have time right now to play on the computer anymore. I am barely keeping up with my emails.Mya and pups are doing very well. There are 2 girls and a boy and beleive it or not the big bruiser is a girl. Mya has stopped protecting the littlest one so I guess she feels the pup is ok. We are still exhausted. Last night was ok with the dogs but the carp came in to lay eggs and the splashing kept us awake until we got up at 6. DH is golfing so I expect he will be coming home to bed. Nikki I can't remember if I wished you a happy birthday but a very happy belated one. Anne in business I like the theory of " the best offensive is a good defense". Aleka I havn't tryed to get the pics on yet but will soon. DD and boy-friend are coming tomorrow and DS and family will be here on Sunday for Father's Day si have lots to do. Later

Hi ladies... reading all the posts about the storms. We got hit pretty hard here in Ohio, too. Still cleaning up. Still trying to learn people's names and a bit about them. It's hard in the begining when you only get snippets. Right now I have figured out that Lynn has some puppies(?) and she lives close to water where carp are laying eggs? Is this right? And Nikki is a camper (I hate bugs... but I love s'mores!!!) Aleka is dangerous with a fork in her hand (don't try to swipe her fried clams!!!) And Anne has an 18 year old son who's awesome, and a co-worker who is a... ahem.. you know...
Be patient with me while I slowly learn about the rest of you.

I'm adrienne and I'm 32 (at least for one more month.) I'm a lawyer and a mom to 2 1/2 year old twins. My husband and I are building a house and it's making me quite crazy. Obviously I'm trying again to low-carb.

It's been awfully hot here in Ohio but the weather is supposed to cool off for the weekend and the humidity is also supposed to dissipate. Good thing because my husband and I are volunteering to work the "pop/water" stand at the Jazz festival that starts tomorrow. Hubby is a big jazz fan and we've been looking forward to going to the festival for free (great way to get in free - volunteer!!!) Although I have to admit, we usually like working the beer tent. hahaha.

That's all for now. Trying to keep my dieting misery at bay here for the introductions. Thanks!

Hi,

Adrienne, a BIG WELCOME!!! You're right...nobody, but nobody messes with my fried clams!!! Your twins are adorable. When in July is your birthday? Glad that you decided to join us and will be looking forward to hearing from you. Which low carb diet are you doing? Have a wonerful time at the jazz festival. The beer tent would be my favorite place too.

lynn, glad that mom and babies are doing fine. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your family.

ANNE, how did things go at work? Did you talk to about Yasmin?

nikki, are you camping this weekend?

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

HI,
We are camping through the 24th (I think that is right ). The weather was great yesterday and looks to be wonderful today too. I have a full day of yard work at home to do, but that's ok, I love doing that. DH will be home soon to mow, he doesn't like that, but that's his only real job at home, so he doesn't complain too much.

Hi, Adrienne and welcome . We are glad your here. Your right, I am a camper. I am also-47 (just had a birthday, I don't feel 47), married have 2 grown daughters (26 and 23), I'm retired (medical disability retirement) from the VA and worked there as an RN for 20 years. I like to garden, cook, exercise and I have cats and aquariums that keep me busy. My starting weight was 274 and I'm at 210 now, but, it's been a roller coaster ride losing it and has taken longer than it should. My diet right now is not low carb, but I've done every low carb diet out there. I do love the idea. Now, I'm restricting my calories, avoiding sugar, choosing fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains and unprocessed foods. Basically, trying to eat healthier.
Your twins are very cute and you must be so proud of them. I can't imagine how busy you must be! The jazz festival sounds like a great time. I'm in Iowa, and I suppose our weather is fairly similar. Personally, I can't believe all the tornado's and bad weather this year. Oh, a new house, how exciting that must be! I'd love to be able to do that. Good for you.

Aleka, I will go to the site and follow your directions. I'll let you know if I can't figure it out, thank you.

Lynn, sounds like your going to have a very busy weekend. I bet your kids can't wait to see the puppies. I'm sure looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Anne, hope things are going ok for you. What did you decide to do about Yasmin?

Got to run, have a ton of things to get done today. Take care, Nikki
