Ok, ya'll have succeeded in making my mouth water here. ALL of it sounds good to me.

Has anyone else tried the new lowfat item at Burger King? Cant remember the exact name of it. It's a bun w/chicken breast with roasted red and green peppers with a little drizzle of salsa. No mayo, cheese, etc. I loved it! The 'meal' includes the sandwich, a side salad, and bottle of water. Very nice change when the kids want fast food.

Miki,

Thanks for the great info. I looked it up, and that sandwich is only 350 calories, and the salad is only 25 if you don't have any dressing on it. It does sound like a nice change from a plain grilled chicken sandwich, and it's lower in calories than their regular plain grilled chicken sandwich. It sounds really good!!

The BK sandwich has hydrogenated oil (trans fatty acid). I did try it, it made me sick. It was also very messy.

Default latest research shows pizza is healthy

in the latest issue of muscle and fitness there is an interesting article from the international journal of cancer. its by italian scientists and states. a slice of pizza a week could reduce the risk of oral esophageal and colon cancer. but not just any pizza. thin crust with olive oil tomato sauce and a bit of mozzarella offer the best protection.

its amazing one min summat is bad for you the next its good for you no wonder so many people get so bogged down and confused with research they give up on the weight management quest!!!

Si, You're so right! It can all be very confusing. I guess that's why we all have to find what seems to work best for us and make us feel the best and go with that.

Suchaprettyface...you're right...it was MESSSYYY, but I didnt mind. You should see me after I eat a Whopper w/ Cheese which always has mayo dripping off every side. I used quite a few napkins, but felt much better eating that than the Whopper which I love but always makes me feel gross afterwards.

Mthrgoose....it was bugging me because I couldnt remember what that sandwich was called so I went to the BK website. The one I had was the Santa Fe Fire-Grilled Chicken Baguette....Did you see they have a newer one than that also...it's the Savory Mustard Fire-Grilled Baguette. I'm not a mustard person tho so Im sure I'd prefer the Santa Fe.

By the way, hubby came by when I was reading your post. He thinks you're pretty also. He was amazed at your weightloss.

Miki, Thanks so much!! You're so sweet and so is your hubby!! I think I would prefer the Santa Fe one too, and I'm definitely going to have to try one for dinner this week. We're also going to be going on vacation next month, so it's great to have some ideas of where I can eat before we leave. Thanks again for the great info!!
