I am on my first week of Phase 1. This morning (Saturday) I weighed 5 lbs. less than Monday morning!
I love those Doctors Diet low carb bars...I agree that they probably wouldn't be the best for Phase 1 but I have been working with a personal trainer at my gym, doing LOTS of heavy weight work, and lots of cardio, and have some problems with low blood sugar, so I need something to get me through those workouts!
I know it isn't following the book EXACTLY, but I haven't had a slowdown yet. I know from previous Atkins experience that people have had problems with the sugar alcohols in the bars slowing them down...

But I agree to try to stick with as natural foods as possible. I'm trying to stay away from the processed foods as much as possible too!!
