Holy Moses That's Hot!!! Good luck dealing with that! I suppose you at least have adequate a/c indoors -- doesn't help when you want to tend the poor suffering garden though.

I've been having a rotten time sleeping lately. I always go to bed late, but recently I've been sleeping for a couple of hours and waking up all restless. Then I'll get up for a few minutes (or so) and go back to bed and hopefully get back to sleep. It's rather tiring, not to mention tiresome. Good thing it's summer -- I can sleep half the day, but that's not helping get me back on any kind of schedule.

I've been decluttering. Not that I've gotten very far, but I've been doing about an hour a day. Anybody want any extra junk?

P.S. Do you like the way my smilies match my font colors?

i LOVE your matching smilies----i LOVE that you are dejunking and i TOTALLY am in the same boat as you regarding sleep---they say it is a MAJOR sign of Perimenopause which we must definitely be enduring by now====isn't it HATEful?????-------------on the other hand, isn't it interesting that we have been together since 1998 and we will all go through this together!!!!!!!WHEN are we having an anniversary party---someone figure out our date----Remember when LeeLohanilush used to go on vacations all summer and post from central nowheresville!!!!

Talking Trying to remember

Bagzie! I didn't become the proud owner of a computer until November 1998 so it must have been a bit before that. Then MA branched off into WLB and all h*ll broke loose! I wonder if Carrie is still shucking peas.

It's awfully hot here too - up to at least 32°C every day which is tooooo much for my delicate sensibilities.

Thumbs down De-junking alert!

Forgot to say that I threw away 27 (count 'em) old Country Living magazines dating as far back as 1994. Throwing stuff out is a Good Thing. Martha has people that throw her stuff out for her.

Oooh, now that Martha is otherwise pre-occupied, I wonder if her people can get together with my people and throw stuff out. I want room for mental relaxation AND new stuff.

I had a brain storm about late night eating. I'm going to paint what I wish I were eating.... I'm thinking an Andy Warhol sized, day-glo Oreo.... I can see it in my mind... wonder if I can get it on paper.

Would love some thunderstorms to cool things down. It's ONLY 106 t0day. AC's are having a hard time and the lights flicker once in a while.

Off to some iced coffee! Maybe that explains MY sleep issues...
Post hysterectomy I sleep like a stone... hope post menipause does it for you. (Another advantage of being Old-er)

Default It's a Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley World

Hey, good job, Sugar! I have the hardest time with magazines. I still have various parenting mags from when Dd was a baby. Of course DH would point out that I have a big box of Rolling Stones from the 70s and 80s up in the attic. And I say, yes, and don't you touch them! But really, most of this stuff needs to catch fire or something.

I think you're onto something, Painty!! I'm not the artistic type, but I could get on the computer and put an entry in my journal describing what I'd like to have for a midnight snack. That might not be the best thing for all those journal readers out there but it would be cathartic for me.

Although, if I give it enough juicy detail, I will probably just want it that much more. Perhaps I could add a description of what it would look like on my thighs.

Why Bagzie, "Internet Addict" is my middle name!

(And of course they make you spend even MORE time on the internet reading articles like that to find out just how addicted you are.)

Did I tell yous all that I am expanding my brain and taking a distance learning "Certificate in Translation" course which involves trying to explain the linguistic difficulties encountered when translating things like inheritance certificates and yogurt labels? I got 19.5 points out of 20 on my first assigment. Had to send it to some guy called Tony in Ireland. Please tell me how smart I am 'cause no one around here ever does.

When exactly was it that we were all moving to Orgeon? Can you be perimenopausal at 40? I can't sleep worth beans. I'm sure I'd sleep much better in a tent in Wabby's back yard.

Too hot here today (but not nearly as hot as it is at Painty's house - sheesh!) to do anything more than lie on the (puffy) sofa and read my new books- "Living the the Light" and "Developing Intuition". Ommmmmmmmmmmmm!

Wow, that sounds great, sugar. What a scholar!

Going shopping today with the kid. More like I drive her around to the stores she wants to shop at, I wait while she gathers the appropriate attire and school supplies, I whip out my credit card. It's an easy job.

Default Hey! I'm baaaack!!!

Hi cowsies! I'm back in the neighborhood - DH has gone off to race his car this evening and I'm left here to wash our vacation clothes. Actually I'm enjoying my solitary time. We put on some miles, we went on a jet boat excursion up the Rogue River, where we saw Bald Eagles, black bears, osprey, deer, and various other critters. We walked among the redwoods, we visited Crater Lake, we had a couple lovely walks on the Oregon beaches, and stayed in an adorable little cabin, with NO TV! It was wonderful. We stayed on evening at a hotel on a river w/ a lovely river front bar and drank lovely margaritas, and walked over the bridge to listen to a concert in the park, and ate mexican food til we could barely walk back.

My boobie bob is less than a week away! I'm starting to panic, but I'm just trying not to think about it.

I've got to read posts now - takes some time to catch up on the goings on around here--- be back soon.

I'm not motivated. How do people get motivated? I think I had too many beers at dinner tonight. I've been changing my Google search page to other languages. Such as Elmer Fudd, Klingon, BorkBorkBork and Pig Latin.

Wabbit, I'm so glad you could get a nice vacay scheduled before your surgery. Sounds like it was lovely.

Lots of nice deep calming breaths, and before you know it, the surgery'll be over, and you'll be light as a feather!

Brilliant, SugarPops! I never thought about translating yogurt labels. Do you do assembly instructions for bicycles? set ups for computers? They seem always to be in Greek.

Cherry-- What are they feeding you in MO? or did you go to the 12 year old AOL speak page? I must be too blessed old to understand what you were writing. Grrrr.

Y'all can rest assured that things are good here... it was only 104 today.

My friend liked her painted sheep. Want to paint something else "odd" soon. And go to bed so I can get up and exercise. INSIDE under the ceiling fan! good idea to sit on balance ball thingy to improve posture and use what abs I've got.
