Well, we've had another miscarriage. Our beach trip was a success in that we got pregnant, but unfortunately, we lost it at 5 weeks. I'm pretty gutted about the whole thing. If you're interested, I've written about it on SoMuchFattitude.

Needless to say, I've put a few pounds on as I am an emotional eater. I'm really doing everything in my being to not put another 40lbs on. Ugh.

I just...I dont know, y'all.

---

Sun, I hope you're feeling better. 230 was a really hard number for my body to drop below, too. Once I did, I was pretty easily able to get down to 200 once my body realized I wasn't going to stop.

Flickety - Congrats! That's so exciting!

I am so sorry to hear that SoMuchFattitude. My heart goes out to you. I know you don't want to put on weight, but also do what you need for mental health, which I'm sure you don't need to be told.

I'm so sorry to hear of your miscarriage SoMuchFattitude. Take care of yourself any way you need and sending you lots of love and light.

Sunarie, I hope you feel better soon. Colds are the worst!

As for me, I will probably record a loss this week but not for a good reason. In the short stay section of the emergency department with a kidney stone. What 29-year-old woman gets a kidney stone, honestly?

Love to you all, here's hoping for a better week next week!

This week has been a total fail and I would not be surprised at all if I post a gain tomorrow.

Two days in the hospital, virtually no exercise, a McDonald's meal and so much socialising and eating for Xmas.....I ate like 40 points today and I'm only on 28. I know from experience I can't eat many of my weeklies and lose and I would have eaten more than half this week at least.

Dreading WI tomorrow but trying to get back on track. Any tips?

WI wasn't a complete disaster. I didn't gain and although I only lost 0.1kg, I have been completely backed up (sorry TMI) from all the pain medication at the hospital.

Jumped on the scales this morning after things finally started getting moving (two days after WI) and I'm down another 0.6kg so hopefully even with Christmas this week I can get a decent loss on Sunday.

Hope you are both well and this week is a better week Sunarie and SoMuch Fattitude x

Thank you flickety_switch. I am feeling better. I had a bit of an off weekend. Used my weekly points to eat some mac and cheese, pizza, and consume some alcohol. Weighed in at 229.4 today, so up again. I'm hoping using the weekly points will help my weight start to drop again. Been stuck right around 229 for two weeks now.

My tips for staying on track for the holidays.. I pretty much write off any days that are social gatherings as way off days. I try to keep my portions small but don't hound myself for going over points. I try not to host social events at my own home because I don't like having all the leftovers to deal with.. other than that I just treat it as normal. Christmas day is going to be an off day for me for sure. Santa brings everyone candy!

SoMuchFattitude - you're in my thoughts, and I hope you're doing as best as can be considering the situation.

This place is pretty silent at the moment, hope everyone is doing OK.

Had WI this morning, lost .8 (1.7 pounds). Am dying to get under 85kg but I'm dead on the knocker.

I guess it's a pretty good loss considering it was Xmas this week but I had worked out really hard so was hoping for a bigger loss.

I am starting to feel it in my clothes though which is rewarding- my underwear keep slipping down and I bought a dress for our engagement party that was a size smaller than usual.

Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve! x

Welcome CanoeGirl! See how you go but I really like Weight Watchers. I'm doing it on my own (online member) and I've lost 5.4kg in six weeks.

I just lost another daily point with this week's weight loss so I'm down to 27 points a day now! That hurts! Seems crazy as I still have another 25kg to lose.

Welcome CanoeGirl. Merry late Christmas everyone, and Happy early new years.

I've been bad and not counting points.. I have been logging food in MyFitnessPal so I could go back and calculate. I know I've been over. I'm avoiding the scale until New Years Eve (challenge weigh in).. and then after that until my son's visit is over. Just trying to not gain a bunch of what I've lost back over the holidays. Think I'll be on point for today though. Actually planned out my meal instead of just prepping easy stuff.

I know what you mean Sunarie, holidays are tough! I've been really good but I've been feeling a bit deprived....haven't gone out for a restaurant meal or to a cafe in weeks and feel like I'm wasting my time off a bit. Trying to find non-food ways to reward myself.

I've just gotten a new job that I start in a few weeks that requires me to spend a week a month in a different city to which I live and some other intermittent business travel too.

A bit worried about trying to eat well on the run but I will be managing my own travel budget so I'm going to book self-contained rooms so I can cook and will be packing my sneakers so I can work out (although I'll miss my treadmill!)

We're going to Thailand in ten weeks time and I would LOVE to be 75kg by then seeing as I will be spending the whole time in my swimsuit. Requires me dropping a kg a week till then though so probably unlikely but even in the ballpark would be great!

For non-food rewards I've got some stuff I typically don't purchase, and things like back-rubs from boyfriend for when money is tight. For me the purchase stuff tends to be make-up and nail polish. I don't normally wear either, so I don't spend a lot of money on it.. but sometimes I do like dressing up, so having some quality stuff would be nice!

If you want to go out to a restaurant, I say do it. I know at least in the US there are a few places (like Applebees) that have WW points right on the menu, and a lot of places do calorie counts online now so you can calculate before you go. If all else fails a salad is usually a safe bet too. No need to feel like you're missing out on life just cause you're eating better That includes if you wanna go out while you're in Thailand (jealous! I've never been out of the US).

Crazy month for me. I've been on a plateau for about 3 months which was been hard. Finally got down to 158.8 which puts me 12.8 pounds away from getting back to my goal (regained lifetime here).

Hi Koshka!

I'm dreading the inevitable plateau but congrats on being so close to your goal weight!

I weighed in this morning and I'm down another 0.9kg (2lbs). Was hoping for a little more than that as I worked out REALLY hard this week but I did go out to eat a few times this week and I'm trying to remember that slow and steady wins the race!

Starting to notice some of my clothes are getting a little baggy, particularly around the waist. I always lose first from stomach and waist and last from butt and thighs!

Hope you're all having a good WW week x
