Yeah, it's anecdotal evidence, but the point is online dating isn't all bad. Not every guy who uses it is a creep or perv. And it's definitely not the easy way out, as you seem to be implying.

Sorry for your bad experience, that's not nice...Thank you for sharing this, I think it's a smart thing to keep in mind for those who are on online dating sites or considering to join.

I have been doing some online dating myself when I was younger, and there was definitely a lot of weird guys who found me. I met some of them, and I kinda figured out that if something seemed a bit off, it usually was. So I think this is an area where good use of intuition comes in handy. There are good guys/girls on these sites, it just takes a little bit to find them sometimes

I met my current through an online dating site, though I found out we had some mutual people in common. We just celebrated our one year earlier in the month and I couldn't be happier. I dated around a little bit with people that I had met online before settling down. I met some creeps, but don't give up, there are some people that are worthwhile.
