Torrid, Maurices (the one near me has 75% off their clearance right now), Marshall's, TJMax, and Target. Right now, I wouldn't buy anything except clearance, unless it's amazing and cute.

also modcloth .com has some AMAZINGLY cute things. I am in love with modcloth and they have a lot of clothes that fit from small all the way up to 3x. Though there plus size clothes tend to run a little small. But it is all so very adorable.

I'm also a size 14/16 and I find in Canada additionelle is a great store too. While they do carry some "older" clothing, there's enough staple pieces and usually some great jeans and I've found great dresses for weddings as a guest etc before.

I would suggest WalMart believe it or not. My sister is roughly the same size as you and she gets all her jeans there and loves it. Also, Target, Torrid, K-Mart, JC Penny, consignment shops and Goodwill. All of them are great stores. Even Bob's too!

a 14/16? American Eagle, and a couple of the junior stores in my mall go up to a 15/16. Aeropostale and Delia's does; however, keep in mind they might run a bit small/fit awkwardly because they are cut for teenagers. My current favorite pair of jeans are from Delia's -- the Bailey flare. NY & Company would probably be good, and the Gap, although the Gap isn't really my style.

As for my own personal shopping, I shop EVERYWHERE. Belk is a big one since I work there, but my favorite browse-around stores in the mall are Forever 21, Love Culture, and Charlotte Russe (trendy teenager stores, lol). I also like Walmart and Target for graphic tee's, and I also like Kohl's. I forget about JCPenney. I also really like local consignment shops in downtown urban areas and I also like "head" shops (the local favorite in my area is a place called Loose Lucy's)-- you can find some really unique stuff in those stores! My favorite local consignment shop is a place called Sid and Nancy's; they have a lot of grungy/vintage/rocker-esque type fashions and jewelery that you don't see in the trendier stores. Maybe try those kinds of places??
