Sorry you felt sick, I'd encourage you to give this diet more days, then you can decide - I'd get one packet of each food and taste all, I bet you will find your favorites, we all have different palate Good luck to you!

You can do this. You have to give it time. Focus on why you started the program to begin with. After the first week you will be glad. I believe we mourn food we cannot have. Give it a chance you can do this. So much support on this sight. YOU CAN DO THIS.

You're worth it!!! I'm only just finishing week 2 today and the first 3 days were brutal, I won't lie! Day 2 I felt like a wreck, emotional overload and CRAVING carbs!!! Day 3 was a bit easier and once ketosis kicked in I've found I really don't crave the things I used to. Oddly enough I find myself craving a piece of fruit or peanut butter instead of chocolate, bread, and desserts!

Hang in there. Give it a little while and soon you will find that sometimes you have to set a reminder to eat meals In the mean time.... drink LOTS of water! Also try hot herbal tea or hot water and lemon (the warm drink help you feel more satiated).

I agree try things. Also could it be the supplements making you puke? I know I had to split mine up through out the day because they made my stomach ache. It's fairly common from what I've read here. I've found a few I really like and then have tried others and been surprised that I like more. Good luck. The first week sucks but it gets so much better.

I just had my spinach in the blender with a protein drink, looked nasty tasted OK but I'm not drinking it because it's delicious. I'm drinking it because I got really fat and need to do something about it. It tastes OK and I like that I am getting my veggies in quickly. It helps keep me full.

Hi there! First post on the board although I have been lurking since I started IP back in late October. My first week, I felt sick all the time-I detoxed BIG time! However, after those first 6 days, I felt incredible. My energy has improved, my cravings shut down, and I have IP packets that I really enjoy. Another bonus, I work at a school and despite tons of flu and throat infections going around-I haven't been sick even once.

I am down 30 so far and a co-worker lost 100 pounds in 8 months. PLEASE don't give up too soon.

I really like the chocolate drink warmed in the microwave, hot chocolate. I mix it up, then pour it into a microwave safe mug and heat it. To me, it tastes just like hot chocolate. You could eat veggies and salad and have the hot chocolate as dessert for lunch. Just a suggestion.

You are all so inspiring! I really appreciate it. I am going to restart on Monday. I have a mental thing about starting on Monday. I will try to get through the first few days. Seeing all of your weight losses is very encourageing. Thank you!

I don't know if you've already stopped eating the IP stuff and gone off plan, but if you haven't I don't recommend stopping and then restarting on Monday. You'll have to go through the whole sick feeling again. If you stick with it I'm sure you'll feel better in a couple of days. It is VERY hard to get back on if you've tried it and gone off.

I already stopped eating the IP stuff today because I wasn't sure what I was going to do. After coming back here and reading all of your comments I decided to give it another try since I have so many IP products.

What I would do, and this is just me, is between now and Monday cut down on carbs, sugar and fat. That way it's not such a shock, cut out what you can so you are ready to go. Me cutting down on sugar and caffiene before I started I think helped a lot.

Also, if it's the multi vitamin in the morning making you sick (mine did) I only took it at night for a week and right before bed. Then added the other one in. Multi vitamins (and prenatals) make me very ill.

GOOD LUCK! Let us know how Monday goes.

I'm glad you are going to try it again. This is only my second week, but after the first few days I felt SO much better. I have excellent energy on this diet and feel way better all around. Good luck!

I am just figuring out what I like. I overcooked the chicken noodle soup last week and I have to stay away from that for a while since I did get it down but it was horrendous. I actually like the broccoli and cheese soup. I split up my protein with 2 oz at lunch and 6 oz at supper. I put my lean protein in my salad with Walden Farms dressing and then having my IP food plus my veggie and it is quite a good lunch! I used to be starving before each meal but now I feel more full all the time.

I personally prefer the puddings to most of the soups. I took a pre-made shake to a conference the other day (my coach suggested it) and it really was good!

I agree if you are gonna start on Monday start cutting back little by little. Thats what i did after Christmas and in the first week back dropped 10 pounds!! It was also easier on my body and just felt tired and not like complete crap

So glad you are going to give it another go. I was in the same boat a few days ago, by lunch on the first day I was ready to break the commitment, but you need to constantly remind yourself why you have started this diet. For me when I was feeling low and wanting to quit I went to Pinterest and pinned fashion ideas for when I reach my goal weight and even recipes for when I can eat "normal" again.

Remember that this diet is not forever and we are here for support. Keep us posted!

I would honestly consider just jumping back into 100% OP for your next meal and just going forward from there.

Taking days off (cutting back carbs or not) will not make it any easier. You're body is already detoxing and just continuing will only make it all quicker to get to feeling better -- not to mention finding out sooner what foods you enjoy.

Using the excuse "I'll just start again on Monday" will make it easier to say "I'll just start again after the weekend" the next time... and the next time...

I am on day 5! Felt awful the first three days but now I feel my normal bubbly self. I've used this forum a lot to find ways to better the packets. Today I made cauliflower rice and really spiced it up and then added it to the tomato basil soup packet. I tasted the soup on its own first and it was pretty yucky. But once the cauliflower was added and all the spices it was pretty yummy. I made turnip fries last night too! Yum yum
