The lunch I eat alot is a chicken breast with raw veggies like tomato and cucumber with a tsp olive oil and seasoning. Keeps me full.

Volumetrics offers a lot of ideas when it comes to trying to create meals that are lower in calories and more filling.... I find its principles can be pretty well adapted to most people's eating plans... Basically filling your plate with more lower calorie veggie choices and modest amount of lean protein...

For me I've always found eggs to be really filling... One of my favorites is a classic bistro dish that is basically a a large frisee salad with a poached egg that I'll have for lunch or even dinner that I find really satisfying...

Greek Yogurt (breakfast & lunch) and homemade blended lentil soup for Lunch. I make the lentil soup on Sundays and drink a cup for lunch. The protein in both items keep me going all day without the urge of snacking. Though i do snack on fruits and veggies throughout the day as well.

I eat the 94% fat free butter popcorn from pop-secret. A whole bag is under 150 calories and it feels like I ate a ton of food. I think it is the idea of chewing that helps me feel content- I agree with the yogurt, meats and veggies. i also eat a lot of apples, mangos, and mandarins to satisfy myself. For a treat I eat york peppermint patties- 1 candy sized patty is 140 calories, which is great for my chocolate tooth and my sweet tooth. I know not to tempt myself with reeses or snickers- or small sized candies because they are higher in calories and harder to control my want for more. I don't know if that will help anyone- but that is what I do

Ooooo, I didn't know that about the peppermint pattys! I love to freeze those and take a bite as I pass by the freezer. And I agree about the popcorn. I usually make a bag for my husband and I and between us we've felt like we've snacked all night with the apples and clementines and popcorn.

Egg drop soup. One cup is 60 calories and I eat 2 cups and am so full afterwards . It lasts for hours.

Nestle also makes a diet hot cocoa - 20 calories! Top with a bit of fat free whipped cream (the kind in a can - 5 calories per 1 tblsp) and it is good.

I've also made myself chai tea of an evening. I have different spiced teabags (current favorite: decaf sweet coconut thai chai) and brew a pot. Then I add some sugar substitute to my mug, pour a glass, and make it milky with some sugar-free vanilla almond milk or skim milk. Delicious. You could start by sweetening the whole pot, but I like to have it cold too and when I drink tea cold I DO NOT like it sweet. Actually, I prefer most teas unsweetened, except for the spiced ones. Anyway, it mimics a nice hot chai drink you might get while out, for many fewer calories and is great in the evening since I usually use decaf tea.
