pizza is my weakness also. the family gets one once or twice a month and it's hard to resist, and is it just me but it's really hard to just have 1 slice. I usually have 2, and for awhile I was going for a third but now I'm stopping myself. besides that I go for the healthier option with putting sauce and low fat cheese on a pita round or a flat out... but really I haven't found any healthy copy cat of the pizzeria style pizza.

After reading this I ended up ordering pizza tonight for our take out day (the one day I don't have to feed the family) instead of the burritos we had intended on lol. But instead of getting the pizza that is loaded with every kind of salt imaginable (sausage and bacon and olives etc) we got a thin crust we as many veggies as we could.

Those substitutions look delicious though... I might have to try one of them out for a week day meal around here.

PIZZA....YUMM...

I have to stay away from pizza as much as possible.
We order it about once a week, so I do eat it.
I have to limit myself to one piece only...or I gain weight.
I stay away from the breadsticks completely.

Pizza and desserts are my downfall.

I made myself a "pizza" last night - we are growing our own vegetables. So I took a zucchini and sliced it length wise. Coated it with a bit of olive oil, added some garlic salt and baked it in the oven. When it was done I spread tomato sauce across it and topped with broccoli, mushrooms and fat free cheese. Threw it back in the oven for a few to melt the cheese and brown up the veggies. It was delish!

Well I'm definitely glad that I'm not the only one!! And OMG JossFit, those pictures look sooooooo good. Now I'm gonna have to buy some of those ingredients you mentioned today at the store.

While pizza is not quite at the top of the list of foods I crave, it is an indulgence I enjoy tremendously. I have only had pizza a few times in the past year. I like Papa Murphy's because the toppings are so fresh and when I order extra cheese (my face topping) they pile it on.

I also like the Chicken Cordon Bleu pizza (with added mushrooms and extra cheese) from Papa John's. Papa John's pizza seems to have improved over the years. Or maybe I was just desperate for pizza. When I was in CA last week, it took every ounce of effort today away from Round Table.

I have other regional favorites, such as Hideaway Pizza in Oklahoma, Mazzio's in Oklahoma, Mother Bear's in Bloomington Indiana. I have one I liked when I lived in Michigan but can't remember it's name.

But I still don't like frozen pizza...ick.
