This is the first time I'm Watching this show. Episode date 8.12.12 The first thing I like about it is they talked about what she would be eating. 5 meals a day 300 calories each which is not a lot of food.

I really don't want to watch it for 2 hours.

Wow! I never watch weight loss shows, I did see a few episodes (I tried to watch them in their entirety) of The Biggest Loser, but it seemed so catty and negative (and sorry from what I saw they were not concerned during the physical activity of the contestants joints AT ALL) that I really do not see how this show is on the air.

But anyway I read this thread and sure enough Primetime recorded 2 episodes.

I loved it! Chris addresses the physical and mental (and medical) aspects of weight loss. He doesn't do it to "win" and there is no pitting people against each other. It was all relatively positive, but showed the difficulties, and seemed REALISTIC to me as far as training (hard but joint friendly for the morbidly obese that is a great concern), and I liked it so much I bought his book for motivation (I like my WOE already). Now I have to figure out if Hulu is working (we have problems with it intermittently) so I can watch season 1.

I agree! Although I am also a fan or the Biggest Loser, I think Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition is better because Chris addresses what made them so unhealthy, has them lose weight in their current environment, gives non-food goals, etc

I find the body shots and the freight(spelling?) scale at the beginning exploitative. Other than that, its an okay show. Sometimes I get the feeling that the people going through the transformation have to really sell themselves out A LOT for the 50,000 dollar gift card at the end.

I had never seen the show so I pulled up an episode... and I'm pretty sure I'm in love with Chris.

I'm not one for celebrity crushes and I don't have a "list" (You know the ones I mean) but consider him #1! He's such a good person!
