I always snack in the evening and I have lost 91 pounds since 1/6/2011.

My experience is "I DON'T KNOW" if eating at night makes a difference.

The reason I say that is "I always snack at night" therefore I have no idea
if my weight would have been different today had I not.

I suspect that the time of day that I eat is not important but, I have no proof.

Larry,

Calories matter most, not so much when you eat them (except if eating them at a certain time makes it easier or more difficult to stick with your plan).

I must admit that I find it easier to lose track of my calories with evening snacks than with meals, but I think it was because of the way I dealt with snacks. Meals (even when I wasn't dieting or measuring) were limited in time and portion. (I sat down, ate my meal and when the meal was over, I put the food away).

With evening snacks, I would sit down, watch tv with a bag of chips constantly at my side and I would eat all evening from the chip bag until the bag was empty. Now that I measure out my evening snack, that's less of a problem (and when I forget or am too lazy to measure, I end up overeating).
