It is possible to lose 25 lbs in a month - my mother did after my father died. Her doctor made her regain every lb and then take it off slowly and healthfully once the extreme stress of the situation had passed. Definitely not a healthy or good rate, but possible.

Can you believe I never even considered that? That makes total sense!

Well, I talked to her this afternoon. I did the whole "management" thing - lots of positive followed by the negative. I told her how I much I appreciate the work she does and that she always has fantastic ideas for new ways to do things. And then I told her that even though ideas and suggestions are her greatest strength, it needs to be focused on work and not on my weight loss. What I'm doing with my body is a personal thing, and I don't want, or need, her help. She got a little huffy and offended, but I think we worked it out.

Thank you everyone for giving me the guidance and courage to deal with this instead of just being annoyed for another 5 months!

So glad to hear you took the iniciative and sorted things. I'm sure you will feel much happier now that you have set boundaries. Make sure that you don't lapse into treating her as a friend instead oof an employee as it will be much harder next time round to create a better standing.
Well done you. Onwards and upwards.
