Hi Magrat!

How have the past few days been? How have you been feeling?

I'm sorry if it felt like I was jumping all over your food choices. I agree, when you post two days of menus they may not be representative of what you eat most of the time. Maybe it would help to post two planned menus or ideal menus?

I love Arnold bread, too. Note that on the Oatnut the second ingredient is white flour. Other varieties, like the 100% Whole Wheat, Honey Whole Wheat, and (I think) Healthy Multigrain have only Whole Wheat Flour (and still no HFCS).

I hope things are going well. Is it OK to say I'm a little worried? -- you said you are "desperate to keep the calories down" and you sound a little frazzled and a lot frustrated. to you. This will work out!

A brief note to everyone.
Thank you for your support and encouragement. The last few days have been a bit better. For breakfast I've been alternating between toast with peanut butter, oatmeal with cinnamin and a tablespoon of raisons, and Stonyfield yogurt with a cut up banana added. Lunches have been either a half sandwich with a piece of fruit or a salad with chicken added for protein. And for dinner I've been skipping the starch and having a half portion of meat and a double portion of veggies. Calories have been averaging 1100 a day, just where I wanted them.

I'm still having my bedtime chocolate.

Thanks again. I'll let everyone know how I'm doing.
