It was a beautiful day in Colorado so I decided to hop on my Harley and go out for a ride. Last riding season I had chain link vest extenders on my vest to give me room. Today I popped those suckers off and buttoned my vest the regular way. It was a great ride!

Wow, Hopeful - that is awesome!!

Yesterday I took the kids to get some shorts and resigned myself to get ONE pair. I brought a size 14 and a size 12 into the dressing room and left with the 12.

I've been pretty slack lately with everything. *sheepish grin* But I've snapped out of it this weekend after I realised I've only managed to lose a pound in 6 weeks. That should have been at least 4-5 pounds. Grrr. I wish there was a "bang head against wall" smilie.

Today, I went to the gym at 7am, managed to not only stay on plan while DH and I were out shopping, but I barely touched the fries that came with my meal (maybe 5 or so; they weren't very nice), I wrote down everything I ate and managed to sneak in my 9 glasses of water.

Tomorrow, I will write down everything, go to the gym at 7am, work my tail off again and eat right. I *will* lose that stubborn pound this week.

I chose my username to be Hopeful8 because a size 8 was what I wanted to ultimately be able to fit into. I started this journey in November wearing a size 16. Today I went to American Eagle and I slid right into size 8 jeans and size 8 capri's. I'm so unbelievably excited. I'm about 18lbs away from my goal weight so now I'm thinking that I should have made my name Hopeful6 or maybe even Hopeful4!

I tried on swimsuits - and I didn't want to cry! My poor kiddos never got to go to the pool last year because I didn't have a suit that fits, but we're going at least a couple times a week now. And I went to the local farmer's market yesterday and talked to the owner of a commercial nursery who I see every year at the market every weekend, which means I haven't seen him in 8 months, and he didn't recognize me I didn't think I'd changed that much.
