Maryanne...
this is how I am dividing my calories right now

9am-200 calories (usually egg white scramble or protein shake)

12ish - 200 calories (something with protein & fiber)-sometimes I add benefiber to my soup or drink )

3ish another 200 calorie minimeal

that leaves me 600 calories for a nice dinner and even a 100 calorie treat
after dinner...

Not for everyone but it has helped me stick with 1200 calories.

Hog away, Nancy. That's interesting about how you spread the calories. I would find it hard to do with just 200 calories from 9AM to noon. But, then again, I work out in the mornings normally. But, I think what you've worked out looks good. Is it working?

Good luck tomorrow, and with your stress issues. If it's too hard to cut out all caffeine, cut it in half to start. That might help.

SO, good night all...

Rhonda

ps: Sandra, have you disappeared on us?

I'm here. I've just been running in circles. I worked yesterday. Today I worked in the yard over 3 hours. I'm working rest of the week. This will be the last week I work this month as we have 2 trips coming up between now and the end of the month. One of the trips is family-oriented; the other is the Local Qualifier for the State Senior Games (so I'm training). I trained from 6:30 till after 9:30 last night.

All that said, the main reason I haven't posted for a couple of days is because I'm feeling guilty about not being on program. If I disappear for a few days, it will be because I'm trying to get my head on straight.

Please bear with me.

Vicki and Angela, I am happy for both of you. Get rest when you can.

Nancy, I hope you get a good report at the doctor's. I am like the others and think it's stress-related.

Maryann, I am proud of you for being ready to graduate from your support group. You're a strong woman.

Rhonda, have a good visit with your friend. I'm proud of you for working in your exercise. Very impressive!

I'm not depressed. I'm just busy and am trying to figure out what I want to do about this excess weight. I'll get it figured out.

Have a good evening.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm tired, tired, tired. Brodie is a doll and worth the trouble but I can't wait until the housebreaking is done and he doesn't have to be watched constantly. He's bonded with me and barks whenever he can't see me. I'll be going out today to break him of that a bit and give the two boys some time to bond.

I'm on program but no exercise. Except for running after the puppy, that is.

Be well and I'll pop in when I can.

Vickie, I have found loads of great info on housebreakingbible.com. It has very specific directions and also a message board where you can post questions for the trainers. I have posted several times, and they always answered within about 24 hours. Maybe you could get some good info there. One thing I do with Pippi is called "umbilical training". I have combined it with the advice on the housebreakingbible site. Hang in there, you know how awesome your little guy will be when the training is done!

Sandra, I'm so happy to see you here. I want to hear from you even if you are not op. I love to hear about how you are doing with your weight loss efforts, but I love your "life stories" even more. Since this is the end of my second year here, I feel like you are part of my family, and I certainly don't stop communicating with my family members if they are not losing weight! Keep posting, I miss you!

Have a great day, y'all!

Good Morning Ladies

Just checking in to let you know I'm still around. In 15 mins I have another PT for my neck & shoulder area. The heat certainly makes a difference comparing to the cold compresses I was using originally.

Nancy, your way of counting calories looks familiar as I remember a woman at the WW meeting doing some thing like that but only using a larger amount of calories for her range. Sending prayers your way for this mornings surgery.

Sandra,Thanks,Its sound mean, but I can't stand the negativity going around the bereavement group meeting room anymore, its doesn't seem like some of the woman want to move on.One of my friends that I met there is feeling the same way.

Picked out just a few posts that I answered as I have to go, will post when I get back.

Yes, good luck to you and yours, Nancy.

Maryann, I have a suggestion, which you have already thought of. Don't go to the group!! If it brings you down, or doesn't give you what you need, there's no reason to be there. Surviving a partner's death is really tough as it is without being surrounded by negativity, no matter who is being negative.

I have a big eating challenge to overcome tonight. We're going to a steak house that is really well known and the food is delicious. AARRRGGHHHH....I'll be really, really good!

As I'm writing this, I'm getting a pedicure from a professional cosmetologist, my DD! What a treat!!! I worked all day organizing and pulling out things to take to Goodwill. Things are really taking shape

Nancy, I'm still sending thoughts and prayers your way!

Rhonda, good luck at the steak house.

A pedicure...heaven. I'm gonna go get one. Thanks for the idea.

I could have done better at the steak house, but, still, it wasn't ridiculous, so I'm OK.

Nancy, I hope you have the energy to post tonight or tomorrow morning. We're all thinking of you.

Good Morning ladies

Another beautiful day to be walking along the beach,so I going to take advantage as over the weekend we are expecting rain.

Going out to dinner tonight and my friend & I are going to talk to the other two and tell them what we expect from them and if they don't improve we will leave them to fiend for themselves. Both of us are fed up with the negativity.

Tomorrow afternoon I going to be with my choir friends to play our canasta card game.

RHONDA-I agree with your 100% and that's exactly what the other lady and I plan to do.I went to the Out Back Restaurant with my DD & SIL and I ordered a OUTBACK SPECIAL for 12 oz I asked them to cut it in 1/2 making it a 6 oz smaller steak than what was on the menu.

SLOAN-Enjoy your pedicure,never had one.

Hi everyone! I had my pedicure on Tuesday....must be the weather. Need to have pretty toes to wear my new shoes.

Maryann, if the group is negative, don't go. Its hard enough to get over a loss, you need positivitiy in your life. Not negativity. If you feel like a group would still help, find a new one.

Nancy, good luck to DH. Please let us know how he made out.

I'm struggling with any type of plan right now. Why do I do this to my self? I keep trying, I guess thats the important thing. I did great yesterday -- all day. Until 9pm, I ate 4 chocolate easter eggs dd had left over. Why, I don't know. UGH!

On some good news, my mom is doing better. She got the OK on Monday to move around her room with her walker. She was thrilled not to have to ask someone to walk with her to the bathroom. She should be a few more weeks. They tried her with a cane yesterday, she was not ready. They'll try again next week. I think if she can move around steady with a cane, go up and down the stairs, she should be able to go home. I think she was lucky it wasn't worse -- after all she is 83.

Well, got to get some work done. Just wanted to stopy by.

Angela and Vickie -- how are your new baby boys?

Sloan, I thought about cutting my toenails yesterday. Does that count as a pedicure?

Paula, my little boy is doing great. At his dr appt today, his bilirubin levels are down, so the jaundice is getting better. He's gained 5 oz since his weight check Monday, and the doctor was really impressed with his muscle tone.

Today was my dad's surgery. I don't know anything yet, but he should be out and in recovery by now.

Hi there. I'm here. I have one more day to sub this week then I'm off till after May 1.

Maryann, I hope your dinner conversation goes well. Sometimes people don't realize they're being negative. I'm glad ya'll are confronting them.

Sloan, I'm scheduled for a pedicure/manicure next Tuesday. I'll bet your tootsies look great.

Angela, I'm glad your little fellow is doing so well. Makes me smile.

Rhonda, I guess you're enjoying showing Cowtown to your friend. Have fun.

Paula, I'm dusting, too.

We're going to watch our grands play softball in a few minutes. Life is good.
