I had my wedding band resized from a 6.5 to a 5 last October and its now a little loose but not so it'll fall off. My eternity ring with chanel set diamonds I could not have resized and that's a 6. I wear my resized wedding band on top of it to keep it on.

Wow. I haven't really had that much of a problem. When I weighed 100 pounds in high school, i wore a size 4 1/2 ring. When i went up to 196, my ring size only went up to a size 5. Same with my feet. I went from a size 8to an 8 1/2. Now, i am back down to an 8 shoe. That must mean i only gain most of my weight in the core of my body and not my extremiteis (sp??)...huh???

I think I've only lost about 1/4, maybe 1/2 a size for my rings. I know that my engagement ring and wedding band are both a size 7, but they spin like there's no tomorrow. Luckily I don't have the problem of them falling off, otherwise I would've done something by now. If I were you, I'd get one of those plastic contraptions that you can put on the underside of the ring to make it tighter for the time being (unless you have unlimited free sizing for your rings). I'm planning to wait until I'm content with my weight and then get them resized...

My ring size changed, and they are actually a little loose again. I was a 4.5 ring in high school, went up to a 5.5 at high weight, am at 4.25 now. I'm afraid to go to 4 because of puffy days, and I don't think they will spin off now.

The jeweler where I bought mine gives lifetime resizing for free. You might want to see if yours does that?

I've bought various inexpensive rings along the way. I wear a hello kitty ring right now. I started at a size 11, got married at a size 9.5 ring and now wear a size 7.

I've gone from a 9.5 to a 7.5.

I haven't had my original wedding rings resized yet because I intend to lose 30 more lbs. However, my husband and I both bought new wedding bands for the time being (he has also lost weight).

I would like to eventually get my original rings resized, though.

Believe it or not my rings have not been resized. They dance around on my fingers all day and I am careful with where I wear them. They easily fall off.

Hey, you could also wear them on a chain until you get to goal.

I have been wondering about this as my ring is becoming slightly loose after losing 10 pounds. When I reach my goal, I know it will be too big. I found some links online that might be helpful. They are solutions that might work permanently or temporarily, but would not involve an actual re-sizing. Some of them should probably involve a jeweler for the best results.

I also saw several message boards that says Claire's stores carry plastic ring sizers to slip onto rings.
