Good Morning, Flowers! It's another wet, windy, gloomy day in my neighborhood! Cold too! I'm home for the day and will start my day cleaning bathrooms -- yuk. Tomorrow morning is a waffle breakfast at school, for the music departments trip to Florida next spring, and then it's my morning to work in the gift shop.

Maggie -- I was glad to see your post this morning! I figured you were busy with your glass projects, and never gave the computer glitch a thought. We have a local couple who makes cat jungle gyms; there was an article and pictures in the local paper this week. Years ago Bob made a floor to ceiling one for our first cat -- we moved it from Sioux City to Mpls., to Ohio, and back to Iowa. We did meet several neighbors because they would see it on moving day. Ernie still has his claws so I'm thinking maybe he would like one by his favorite window.

"Gma" -- I bought a Yankee candle car freshner and the aroma didn't last at all. I had to at your trip to Kohls and coming home with a new handbag to add to your collection. There are some really STUPID drivers on the loose! We have people who will block the edge of our driveway when visiting the neighbors as well as the mailbox. If the mailman can't get to the mailbox he won't leave our mail, and that really makes me ! One time I did call the neighbor to have the car moved, and it was the wrong neighbor. You are on the ball to have your grocery list ready for tomorrow . . . wish I could send mine with you!

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday! Let the weekend begin!

Jean -- from Iowa!

Good afternoon ladies. A gorgeous 80 degree day.

For those of you who don't know what ornamental cabbages are, here's a link where you can see picture http://www.gardensablaze.com/Annuals...OrnCabbage.htm - they are quite lovely.

I had my quilting bee and dinner before last night. Always a good time.

Today I did part of my grocery shopping. There is a 4-day sale on red raspberries at 2 for $3 and I sure wanted them. I also got a pair of black jeans, a new top and some socks (sigh - it's getting to where I'll have to think about shoes and socks). Stopped at the library for some more books on tape and now I have a potato baking and some chicken ready for the grill.

Faye, I have defragmented you disk? It will definitely make it faster. How much you have on the computer isn't what makes it slow down. Disk fragmentation does because the computer has to do more read/writes to carry out what you want to do.

Maggie, glad you got the computer working again.

Jean, when you finish cleaning your bathrooms, I have some cleaning you could do... The waffle breakfast sounds like fun - enjoy.

Good morning to you all! I hope your Saturday is starting out well. I am up, showered and dressed, taken my meds and just have to get a bite of breakfast. We will leave here around 8:30 to go to the commissary. Unfortunately, for the next 4 paydays, shopping falls on military payday, ugh! That means it is going to be nuts there today again.

Susan: When I go to defrag it says I don't have enough memory to do the degrag so I don't know what to do. I removed programs I don't use, but I guess Jack is going to have to sit down and clean it up some more for me. If you know what to do let me know. I have seen the ornamental cabbages and they are lovely. If you have several though do they smell? Regular cabbage grown can smell if grown in a big enough group. Great price on berries. Cheapest I have seen them is $2.00 apiece. We are losing our fresh berries and such and now getting south american stuff so I imagine the price will zoom up.

Jean: Jack and I decided if we ever become rich we will buy a fancy RV and travel and come see you gals. That way we can take Fortune with us wherever we go and not have to kennel him. It is going to cost me $275 to kennel him from Tuesday until the following Monday because I have to get him a suite and individual playtime. He is going to come home upset because it will be the holiday and there will be a lot of barking, which is what stresses him out. I think it is Glade what I bought and it is a jar of pearls that you peel off the top and it has holes in it to release the scent. I just put it under the passenger seat and the car smells really nice now. As for shopping, I wish it were the other way around and you were doing mine. I dread it!

Well, Jack is frying him a piece of lowfat sausage to make a biscuit. I am going to make myself some sourdough toast and some fruit. Have a great day all!

Good Afternoon, Flowers! It's another misty, breezy, cool day in my corner of the world. The sun can shine any time -- I'm sick of cloudy days! I had one looker in the gift shop this morning otherwise no one. I did get through a pile of magazines so felt good about that. Now I should be dusting and vacuuming -- maybe later.

Susan -- Thank you for the cabbage web site -- they are very pretty. I've not ever seen them. I wonder if it is too cold for them up here. You will have to tell us if yours ever smell like cooked cabbage. I think cleaning is a never ending process! I just wish I could get myself organized enough to either do all cobwebs, etc., one day, or a room a day. I feel like I'm never 100% caught up.

"Gma" -- I hope the commissary wasn't as busy as you thought it would be this morning. That's a good job to have done. What will Kelly do with Marty while they are gone? Maybe he and Fortune could share a suite. I will have to look for the Glade pearls because my reed diffuser bottle is empty even though the smell is still there.

I need to get another load of laundry going and chase some dust/fur bunnies around. We play bells at first service tomorrow so will have to be up and at 'em early. Set up and practice is by 7:30.

Have a nice "rest of the day!"

Jean -- from Iowa!

Good evening, ladies! We had a beautiful day today and low 80s.

I made a quick Walmart run this morning (found they now have Great Value sugar free chocolate syrup with only 15 calories in 2 Tablespoons for $1.65) and then came home and cleaned the rest of the day. Tomorrow is my day to work at Fall Festival and it looks like another beautiful day. We have 2,000 quilt blocks to be signed by the crowd and then we will make them into quilts. I just hope we don't have to walk too far or I'll be short of breath for sure.

Jean, it takes me forever to clean because I have to stop about every 20 minutes to catch my breath. It just never gets done. The ornamental cabbages don't ever smell like cooked cabbage. You are probably too cold to grow them. Our average winter temperature is 42 degrees.

Faye, I hope you survived your trip to the commissary. I can't stand to go grocery shopping when it is crowded. Does it say you don't have enough memory or don't have enough hard disk space. If its memory, you don't have enough RAM but that can be upgraded. If its hard disk, you might be able to get a bigger one or you could get an external hard drive. I just ordered a 1 terabyte at work for $120. We are going to use it to back up our server. If you did that, you could move some of your programs to it. The computer will see it as an additional hard drive and you can use it easily.

Well, I think it'll be Healthy Choice for dinner tonight. I'm too tired to cook and I figure that is better than eating just cereal or peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Have a good night!
