Hey girls!

Ugh this past weekend was a killer. As of last Wednesday (29th) I was down to 138 from 144. Good! I had been running almost every day along with some strength exercises and such 3 days a week. Then, Wednesday, I left for Nashville with my family to visit my aunt and uncle. They used to live in New Orleans, so they were very eager to make us jumbalay, boutin - all really bad for you, I assume. And I didn't want to be rude and decline, so I had to eat the food they gave us. I tried to eat healthy with salads or grilled chicken when we were out to lunch each day, but when I weighed myself after getting home Monday morning, I was up to about 142. Boo!! Now I have to work my way back down. I walked a lot on the trip but didn't get to run because we were on the go the whole time. And I leave for college Sunday, so I'm very stressed trying to pack up EVERYTHING I own!! I bought new running shoes yesterday and they're AWESOME! The only thing I'm worried about is eating next week. Because I'm going to school early for a scholars math camp, they are providing food for us so we have little to no choice. I'm afraid it will be hot dogs and hamburgers (which I don't like in the first place) but I brought yogurt, cereal, applesauce, things like that, so I can eat as healthy as possible!!!

Best of luck, ladies!

Hi Ladies

Nothing new,I did lose the pound that I gained the other day,so hopefully I be down another by the time W-I rolls around again.

CHEB-Take it easy don't over due it on this hot dog day of summer month. What's a GWF watch I've seen it posted several times on the message boards but I don't know what its all about.

PRINNY-Just running around should be enough exercising for you. If you watch your calories I don't think exercising every day in necessary. I'm exercising only on my high calorie days my low ones I do toning instead.

RAIN DANCER-Not to good,my DH has his lung cancer back again. Now its back to the treatment rooms when we both thought he was in remission.Congrats on your NSV that your clothes are getting looser. That's always a good sign. When I have a NSV I tend to lose in the midsection only to gain in the boob area. So if my slack fit nicely my blouses are to tight,it just goes on & on with no hope in sight.

JUDY LYNN-I like walking also, but I rather stay in the cool a/c house and ride my bike instead.

ASHLEY-Sorry about your gain, but life goes on.When you get back to school eat as healthy as you can and fill up on protein, and high fiber foods to keep you fuller.

beach bum OH NO!!!! How scary. My father died of lung cancer that moved to his brain, that terrifies me! I hope you guys get it this time. Oh, dear.

I have gotten a lot done today. I hit my calories burned goal on my go wear fit hours ago. Then again I have been up since 2AM running around doing leatherwork, casting, painting, and woodworking. I'm kind of tired now. Heh.

Good Morning Ladies

This is the third time around having to fight with lung cancer. First time it was the left lung and they other tow time its in the right. TG it hasn't traveled anywhere else. Tiring to keep focused on my DH condition and not getting over stressed with eating everything in sight. I do this when I get nervous about any situation.

JUDY LYNN-Thanks for you kind words. I really was taken back when the doctor told us it was back again,I thought it was gone forever and he was in remission.

PRINNY-Sorry to hear about your father,it s tough pill to swallow when a loved one is inflicted with some kind or serious disease like cancer.
Fortunately it remained in the same spot.Just doing all the things your doing is going to burn more calories. You'll get down to the 130 mark soon.

Have to go,have a great morning

Hey everyone! I'm new...thought I'd find a place to plug in.

I use the GWF and sparkpeople to count. I have been doing the C25K but just took a few days off to rest an injury. Very odd that I stop running and I suddenly drop 1.5 lbs. Very strange indeed.

Good Morning Ladies

Got on the scale this morning and I'm holding my own from last W-I so I hoping by Monday W-I I will be down some by than.

BARGO-Thanks,fortunately, it's small and we caught it right away, that's always is a good sign.He starts his treatments again next Wednesday.

CANDICE-Welcome to the chat,I was never a runner, the nearest to that was my power walking, but I had to give that up do to a bad hip. I do reg walking now. Congrats on your 1.5 weight loss, some times the bod works in mysterious ways.My doctor tells me exercising too much gives your body mis signals, especially when on a diet, but I ditched those months ago eating healthy & counting calories is the way to go.

Sorry I havent posted in a few days. Its TOM has come for the second time in 20 days, doctor says its because of the medication most likely and not to worry unless it happens again.

Me and DH dropped a small fortune on books yesterday. $735.00 and that does not include one of his books that we can wait to buy until September because the class starts in October.

I am going to avoid the scale until the 24th, which is when my challenge ends, and school begins.

DH took a new picture of me yesterday because I still don't see any weight change when I look at myself, boy oh boy did I see it in the pictures. It was great to see.

Candice, welcome.

Prinny, you're doing so fantastic, you will be there soon, they always say the last few lbs are the hardest.

Beach, your husband and you have been added to our pray list.

I don't think I am over doing it too much. All my running is on the treadmill so that helps keep me out of the heat. My Go Wear Fit Armband, it tells you how many calories you burn everyday, anyways it has a display thing that you can wear as a watch, it keeps up a link with the Armband all day, and I notice it drains the battery. It is great to be able to see that all day, however these last few days without it, I have been doing just as good if not better as days I wear it, so I am thinking about just wearing it when I am working out for now on, since I have certain calories burned goals for when I work out.

Hi! I hope you don't mind if I join in...I used to post here a couple years ago and found it very helpful in shedding pounds. I was doing great counting calories and losing weight, I ended up getting pregnant and let things slip...Anyways I'm ready to get back on track and continue with my weight loss journey.

Candice-great job on the weightloss. Sometimes the body works in mysterious ways.

BeachBum-sorry to hear about your DH

Good Morning Ladies

Our annual road race is going on right now,and our town and surrounding areas are packed with tourist. So my friends and I are not going to be able to meet a friendly's like we normally do on Sunday so we decided to go in the opposite direction and see a movie called Julie & Julia.

Got on the scale this morning to my surprise, I'm out of the 170's and into the 160's again, hope that # will stay for Mondays W-I. Than I know for sure the low calorie day with a high calorie day is working for me ,and I will follow the method until I reach my first 10% of 150.

CEBSME-Thanks for your prayers ,we really appreciate them.

Oh than that ok I thought it was out doors. I have a treadmill down stairs in the basement ,but its a manual one and it very hard to get it moving so I do my spinning on my bike instead.

Thanks for explaining your GWF to me,I not familiar with all the new devices they have around these days.

CANDICE-Congrats on your .6 some time the body let you lose weight with out exercising.

DREAM-WELCOME to the chat. There more people on this chat but being the summer months lots of them like being with there family's at this time, but the more the merrier.

I love the counting calories, better than this diets out there. I do understand when you get pregnant the weight does add on,I have been there ages ago,and that's when my weight problem started, and didn't end there but continued with the menopause thingy.

Have to get ready for church, have a great day

I have been bouncing between 136 and 138 for a week now. I think I am going to have to force myself to workout in order to get the last bit off. It's very frustrating. I also think I am not drinking enough water because I get really busy and forget to. I have been waking up feeling totally dehydrated. I hope that is part of the problem. Eating wise I have been really good, so something is going on here.

Hello Chicks.

It has been a busy last few days. Had a bit of a problem binging for a couple of days. Bleargh! And I am nicely back on track for the past two. Binging is my hang up. The rest isn't that difficult for me. I just have to work past this urge. Maybe one day I will beat it. Or at least learn how to control the beast, contain it so it doesn't appear as often.

It is beautiful here, right now. Warm but not devastatingly hot. Nice breezes and we are able to only run A/C for a few hours a day and turn it off at night. That won't last, sadly. The heat is on it's way back in to make us miserable, again. And make my electric bill go sky high. My last bill was $294.00. I hate APS with a passion.

Beach Bum, you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad that you have caught this early, again. I hope that treatments are fully successful and he recovers soon and is healthy and cancer free, soon.

Good Morning Ladies

Jubilant after getting off the scale this morning a my official Mon W-I and I'mout of the 170's and into the 160's again.so that mean I lost all my cruise gain.YIPEEE!!! This new way of counting calories is really working for me,and all it is have a high calorie day and a low calorie day.[mine is 1600/600]

Thanks ladies for all your prayers we go for one first treatment on Wednesday morning. Hope that the chemo is too rough on my dh like it was the last time around.

PRINNY-In the summer time you need more water to flush out & clean the colon, especially when you say that you wake up feeling dehydrated is a good sign to drink more. You'll lose that136-138 yoyo soon.

RAIN DANCER-Maybe you could fit those binges into your calorie count,so if you do binge again the you would feel like your losing it.Say if you eating a 1200 count leave 100 calories open for binges.

Thanks Dancer for your prayers and kind word,we really appreciate both.
