You are so right. I had to go to a special event and they didn't serve anything I could eat, so I had a handful of almonds from my emergency stash in my purse and was fine. But a co-worker said, why are you always so hard on yourself? Take a break from your diet, enjoy yourself. I said, I AM enjoying myself. I don't need cupcakes to be happy. This isn't a diet, it's my life. She just didn't get it.

I'm in the fortunate position of not feeling unwell if I'm hungry, so if I go to a function and can't/wish not to eat what's there, I'm fine, even if I've forgotten by emergency banana.
