I will ride my bike when it warms up. But I don't stop just because of the cold I still walk 3 miles a day. I just bundle up. Heck I know I never once thought about the cold when I was a kid. Why start now at 41.
Ugh, summer. I would love to go hiking, but we don't have hiking trails without alligators or snakes...gross. And it's too hot. I'm just going to enjoy the mild winter and get as much work done now .
I want to go to the park and play frisbee and baseball!
Also, when it warms up, I want to get cute new pedal pushers and bermuda shorts in those fun plaid colors. The last time I wore anything other than jeans in the summer was in my freshman year of high school! I can't wait to wear cute summer clothes!!!
We've been walking lately except on Friday when the temps were down in the single digits with windchill making it below zero. I normally walk my pups everyday, snow, cold, etc but they weren't too happy with the cold so they didn't get a walk. They also don't like when its raining, they are fine with a slight sprinkle but anything beyond that, they won't walk in.
I grew up in a warm weather climate though so I didn't know what cold was when I was a kid
There is a park next door to my house with a lovely trail around a small duck filled lake. My dogs love when I take them there to walk. We go every day when it is warm outsid! I can't wait...and neither can they!
Ugh. I'm dreading the warmth. I HATE THE SUMMER. I will probably do nothing different and keep doing all my exercises in the gym. I do like swimming though, so I'll probably do some more of that.
Its starts getting really nice here around the end of May. By then I hope to be down to around 188 (which means I need to lose about 54 pounds, but I'm really hopeful!) - And be in much better shape, so that I can take long walks, and hikes with my boyfriend (he really loves hiking), and not be out of breath or feeling faint lol...
I'm celebrating the fact that I'm no longer snowed in!! It was 4 HORRIBLE weeks, now I can go grocery shopping, go to movies, see friends who don't live right next to me... life is great! As for activities outside? I don't really walk in my neighbourhood after my bear incident, but when all this darn snow is gone I will definitely be hitting a running clinic to prepare for the 12km I do every year in March!
