Hi all,

Dropping in for a quick update, I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well!

I'm still hanging in here on complete bedrest. I'm set for induction on the 25th unless things continue to go downhill before then. I've been pretty stable, but my blood pressure is going back up and it's starting to affect the pressure in the cord. Nothing to worry about yet, but we're keeping a close eye.

The preeclampsia is causing lots of edema (basically water retention), so my weight is going up fast these days. I'm not worried, since I know it'll go down after he's born.

Otherwise, I'm watching too much TV (not much else to do on bedrest) and eating too much chocolate.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

So I started registering yesterday. DH and I spent four hours in Babies R Us. I couldn't believe it! And we're not even done!

Mod - DH and I did that with DS1......we didn't get half of it and what we did get, we didn't use half of! When we moved recently, I got rid of so many things!

The one thing that I did use a lot was a bottle warmer. After the first few weeks when milk production was strong, DH would get up with the baby and let me sleep. Microwaving is bad for breast milk - and formula, actually - and heating up water to heat a bottle was a tad to complicated for a groggy person at 3 a.m. It was also great for babysitters as telling young girls exactly how warm it should be can be a pain - it is much easier to say "flip this switch and wait for the light to turn off".

unfortunately, the bottle warmer broke during the move and I have to buy another one.

There are a few things that I want to get (or upgrade) for this baby. Numero Uno is a glider. I think my in-laws are getting us one, though. At least I can pick my favorite one and not have price be a factor!

Have fun picking out stuff! I know how much fun I had when we did it the first time.

Well I had my second doctor appointment on Monday (17th) and all was well. All we basically did was listen to the heart beat and go over my blood work. So far so good! No diabetes, etc. Have to call next week to set up another doctor appointment and ultrasound^^.
