This is a great thread shalu ... lots of good advice here. I find myself in the same predicament (all or nothing) LOTS, and am learning how to stop being so nit-picky about my life and to just adjust when I can't "fix" something. (Not always an easy lesson.)

Like the others, I don't think you have to totally shift focus from one thing to another. Something I realized recently was that what I'm doing is for ME. My typical dieting approach would be to do good all week and then fall off plan on the weekend, as if I deserved a break from all that hard work. Wrong mentality. Now I see this as "I'm doing all this hard work FOR ME." There isn't some taskmaster standing over me with a whip making me do this ... I'm doing it because I want to. So just like you are focusing on your career because you WANT to doesn't mean you have to stop focusing on your health ... you want BOTH, right? It's not always easy, but we just have to dig our heels in and do it. (I'm preaching to myself here too, because I'm certainly not perfect and don't have it all figured out. Every day is a learning adventure in life!) Hang in there, you CAN do this if you put your mind to it!
