Well, I blew through all 8 of the Sookie Stackhouse novels this summer, and I wanted more vampires so I decided to break down and get the Twilight books. Glad I did, so far I am loving it. I am about half way through book 3, Eclipse. I have heard about all the people that hate the last book, and I have tried so hard to avoid any spoilers. I hope I don't hate it. Nothing worse than investing your time and emotions on a story only to have it ruined. Still, I can't wait to see the movie, as you can probably tell from my avatar!

I also plan to read The Watchmen when I am done with the Twilight saga. After seeing the movie trailer I was reminded of why I always meant to read the graphical novel. It's sorta like a darker version of The Justice League, from what I have heard.

After that I will probably go back to Vampires and try out some Anita Blake.

Christina - the last book was the hardest to get through for me, but I still enjoyed it. It wasn't quite "can't put it down" as the other three....but it still only took me about 5 days to plow through it

They also give you a list of books to read a mile long. I have over 200 books on my to read list...but I'm an over achiever when it comes to books .

I finished Alone by Lisa Gardner. I'm going to start Plum Lovin' by Janet Evanovich.

I just finished Jurassic Park (Michael Crighton) as a silly guilty pleasure read as well as Peeps (Scott Westerfield), but I'm going to be reading The Scarlet Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne) next for school. I'm actually pretty excited about reading it as I've been trying to catch up on some of the classics lately.

Changed my mind about On Thin Ice, the Olympics are over and I've had enough sports-themed reading for the time being. Instead I'm reading Bachelorette #1 by Jennifer O'Connell; after that I suppose with the election on the horizon I should read some political stuff like David Baldacci?

I loved Sookie stackhouse novels cristina! I also have to say I loved the first Meyers book, really dont like the last two as much. Disappointing for me. The first 6 or 7 of the anita blake books are also v good, I also think the last few of hers ruined the series, they went from good storylines to oversexed.

I liked the first couple Sookie Stackhouse books too, but she is veering into Anita "hump the shark" territory - must EVEYBODY want to have sex with Sookie?

Interestingly though, the Sookie Stackhouse books will be a tv show on HBO called Trueblood (by Alan Ball the same guy who made 6 Feet Under). It premieres next Sunday and I am definitely going to check it out.

After finishing The Boleyn Inheritance on Saturday, I jumped into the Twilight series as well! Book 1 was done in 2 days and I'm over 200 pages into book 2!! Great books!

Bad news, though...On Google news there was a story (you can read it on Stephanie Meyer's website, too) that someone posted an unfinished manuscript of hers that was going to be the 5th book--from the perspective of Edward! Now, because of this, she is not going to finish the book. Boo hoo!

Whats annoying is i woulda had that book finished in a few hours. Its one of those cant put it down/easy to read books.
I left it at home and ive been at my bfs house for 2 weeks and am having withdrawel symptoms from it!Dammit! lol
How on earth did someone get their hands on the copy-damn them aswell! I get addicted to series like this. Has anyone read anything by kelley Armstrong or L.J Smith. L.J Smith is 90's point horror but if you love that whole vampire brothers/mortal girl torn between them thing, you will LOVE her work..oo i love this site even more now

I finished Plum Lovin'. I'm going to start Butchers Hill by Laura Lippmann.

I didn't get much read during the Olympics. I'm certainly making up for it now! LOL

I LOVE Jen Lancaster--own all three of her books. I can definitely relate to a very expensive reading habit!

I just finished "Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict" for the second time! Fun book! Will be starting "The Matters at Mansfield" by Carrie Bebris soon! (Mystery series with Jane Austen characters--very well written!)
