i agree...,.
5lbs is very optimistic....
im lucky to get 2lb a week with minimal food intake n an hour cycling a day....
let us know if you achieve it n how tho....
If you haven't seen your co-workers in 7 months, they aren't going to know if you only drop 5 lbs...which, in a week's time, is quite unrealistic anyway.
Why not show up looking uber-fabulous just the way you are, and then floor them 7 months from now with a more realistic weight-loss.... I can guarantee the "wow" factor 7 months from now with a 30lb loss will be much more impactful than a 5-lb loss that they won't notice anyway.
But I do agree with the previous posters too - set a mini goal for the week ahead to cut some calories. Think big - start small...or rather...think thin - start small :-)
Thanks to everyone for the great advice.
My ride to the party backed out. Hence, I will not be going.
I just took this event to set myself a personal goal rather than to wow my teammates.
Anyways, it has almost been a week and I have lost 2 pounds.
Like you all said, I realized 5 pounds is not realistic.
