JANE...good deal on the good news!

SASSY...yeppers, I copied you, lol! Actually, I have a few of the charlie brown christmas avatars...one of my favorite things to watch every year since I was little. I love the peanuts gang! The weather is weird here as well. It was HOT, well, 72, at 12:30 today when I went for my walk and by 5 this evening it had dropped to 54-it's 44 now and still going down. Supposed to have a chance of rain, possibly some snow, ugh! Not ready for that.

JULES...toothaches will make a person a little grumpy for sure. Hope it is better now. At least you get some time off...woohoo! I know the little baby boy clothes would put a smile on my face. At mass Sunday there was a lady with a well behaved little girl...she looked about 3 and the little boys two rows in front of them were just horrible...she told her mother...that boy is noisy, lol. The mother of the boy took him out kicking and screaming...anyway, what I was getting at was the lady also had a baby, looked like it wasn't over a month old and that was the sweetest baby. OMG! It slept thru the whole service and the noisy boys...so sweet. i just wanted to go over and hold it.

MARYKATE...thanks for sharing that. It makes me think of another one sort of like that from Erma Bombeck...I am very thankful this year, for my family and friends.

TRISH...oh goodness, I didn't do that. I just find the avatars that are like that. I think they add a little something extra. I used this light one last year as well. Just love the colored lights of Christmas. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your family! Enjoy your time with your family.

And a HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone else! Just in case you don't make it tomorrow.

Okay, just meant to say hi but get carried away.

Nighty, night.

Hello ladies,

Marti - where oh where are you, dearie? Wrestling with a turkey?

Sue - thank you for the heartfelt PM, sweetie.

Jules - hope you got to relax and turn in early yesterday.

Trish - happy T'giving to you, too. Have fun with your DD and her family.

Sassy - hope your cold is better today, not worse. When I go to Wendy's with my niece each month, I get either the small chili and oranges, or the grilled chicken sandwich and oranges. Yum! Either choice is 5 WW points. You're doing fine, sweetie.

Mary Kate - thank you, thank you, thank you! I love the forwarded message from your DH, and printed it already, and will copy and paste to my sisters. So glad to see you posting, and I sure hope you keep it up! What's shaking for T'giving? Gonna cook or go elsewhere?

Cristina - thank you! I like the Peanuts gang, too. Did you see the neat ornament at the Hallmark House? Btw, I'm so very happy that you have Josh home for T'giving. What a blessing!

Angie - aww, thank you so much. Yes, Oprah is in Chicago. Was that a totally random question or did I miss something? You crack me up, and I just have to say how very, very happy I am that you are back! Chicago would be a great place to meet up someday. I know where there is an affordable condo very near the Mile, and the Loop.

Mindee - thank you. Hope you got some extra rest last night. What are your holiday plans?

Kelton - hope you're reading this, and will pop in.

Today I'll be doing some cleaning, and then, as I mentioned before, Mary and Katie will be here to help with the cooking that can be done early. I love these times together. Neal's brother will be here tomorrow evening from Louisianna, and I'll be glad to see him.

For those of you that may not make it in tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving a little early.

Ang--Hey there!!

Cristina--Teri says she hopes her little Dominick will be as good as her cousins baby Blaire and her god fathers baby Henry. They are both such sweet little guys and have really good personalities already

Katie--thanks--I really liked that too!!

Trish--have fun with the family this weekend!!

Well, I am off to bake pies and do some laundry and other cleaning!!

Jane- You are so welcome. I was happy to hear the good news. Sounds like you are one busy lady. Have a wonderful turkey day. Isn't it great to see family? Love it!

Jules- Hope the pies turn out great. I am not baking any this year for a change. I can imagine that you are getting excited about little Dominick's arrival. Just love those little clothes.

Cristina- Another Peanuts lover here. My kids used to get the books and, of course, we watched all the Charlie Brown specials. SO cute. Hug Josh tight for the rest of us here and have a happy thanksgiving with your family.

Sassy- Wow...you must have needed that sleep to fight off the cold. Hope you are feeling okay today. Did you say SNOW? LOL...we already had flurries this week and I hate it. (don't let Jane hear us dis snow. She loves it ya know)

Mindee- Happy Thanksgiving to you, Tommy and the little munchkins. Good luck to your DH on the job at the complex. I know what a struggle it is to find and keep a good job right now. My DD in CA is still looking even though she is doing some temp. work from home. The job market is fierce.

Angie- Ah, I had forgotten that your thanksgiving was earlier. DO you also have a big meal and family get togethers? So nice to see you here.

Trish- Have fun with your family. I am enjoying my son being here and tomorrow I will see my daughter. Good luck on SB. Have a friend who just lost 13 pounds and lowered her cholesterol by a bunch on SB. I HAVE to do something different, but just don't know what. Moving my hiney more would help.

MaryKate- Thanks for the poem...so good. Have a wonderful holiday.

Marti, Kelton and all the rest of the girls...(hey PJ, a shout out to you.)..I wish you all a beautiful Thanksgiving day.

DS has stayed right here at the house so far, but it is just a matter of time as his friends are circling. lol He and DH are in the workshop today since he wanted DH to show him all his woodworking equip. They are starting to build me a small half round table of walnut.

I am going out to plant the 10 trees I got from Arbor day foundation. Well, I should say the sticks I got. If even a couple make it I will be happy. At least my fear of trying to plant them in sub-zero weather didn't come true. It is very warm today, although damp and gray. WOuld be a beautiful day if only the sun would shine.

I am making some candy this afternoon and a pudding dish to take tomorrow to my brother-in-laws house. I am not cooking the huge meal this year...whew! Our nephew is home from Kuwait so they wanted to have the family in. Should be a real fun day and LOTS of us to boot. DS is happy he gets to see so many of the family. Too bad DD won't arrive until evening. She misses the dinner. But it will be nice to see her and catch up. She wanted to spend the week-end with her sis and brother. The young folks are going out Sat. night and then I am having dinner Sunday.

My DD's are thinking of shopping on Fri. and asked me to go. Ha...not on your life.

Mom is not feeling too well. I don't know if she will feel like celebrating Thanksgiving or just staying quiet. She did eat a meal last night, but mostly doesn't have much. She has already lost at least 20 pounds and I don't know how to stop that. I bought Ensure, but getting her to drink it is another story. When she feels good she is perky and ready to go until she tires out. It is a roller coaster ride for sure.

Sorry for being so windy, but I know I won't be back for a day or two.
Have a Happy holiday!

Hello ladies...

SUE...sorry your mom isn't feeling so great, hope she feels better soon. And enjoy your time with your family!

JANE...I would like to say I am enjoying my time with Josh but I'm not, lol. He has a girlfriend and I've not seen much of him, lol. But he will be here for TG as will she. Enjoy your time today with Mary & Katie.

MINDEE...Aloha! You are a busy little bee with the kiddoes aren't ya?

JULES...I bet Dominic will be just like his cousins. And I love that name, and David too! I call Josh that at times. Hope you jaw/tooh gets better soon...you shouldn't be in so much pain over a tooth...but they are the pits!

SASSY...yeah, don't say the "s" word. I am definitely not ready for any of that stuff.

Well, I got the pumpkin pie done, woohoo! Only have a cheesecake to make, brownies and cookies and some chopping and dicing, ugh! I plan on doing some, taking a break, doing more, taking a break, etc...and I plan on getting some exercise in between. That's the plan anyway, lol. Doing laundry as well. I want to get as much done so I can help Josh and V do lights and stuff tomorrow outdoors. Anywho...already almost one and I better get going or nothing will get done, lol.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Good Morning ladies--

Been out visiting yesterday. Spent a few hours at my sisters and chatted w/her while James played w/the kids. I think my sister welcomed the break of two little ones climbing all over her!

Did some of our TG dinner shopping. Have a couple more things to get and then tomorrow it will be just the three of us. Actually, we have a friend we invited that may stop by.

Having a difficult time walking. My sciatica is acting up. I pushed it on Monday and made it through 2miles. Last night.....I just couldn't do it. But tonight....I'll be back up there and trucking along.

I hope you all are doing well....I have some shopping to do (wonder if my bank account has been drained yet!) and I still need to shower....so you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow and I'll check back in when I have time and catch up!

Hugs to each and every one of you!

Cool Not sure if anyone remembers me....

But I used to frequent here about a couple of years ago. At the time I was trying to lose my preganancy weight. Well I did, lose some but I am ashamed to admit that once again I was not able to keep it off.

I think that part of it is due to the fact that I started putting everyone else first again, and as a result stopped exercising and watching what I was doing, and following an unhealthy way of life.

I feel disgusted with myself for letting this happen yet again. However, since I know it does no good to berate myself, I have decided to do something about it instead and start living healthy again. Not just for my sake, but so I can set a good example for my daughter who is now 3 1/2. I NEED to do this.

The other day I was SHOCKED when my daughter told me that she didn't like her new winter coat because she said it made her look fat. My jaw dropped and I got really upset. I told her that she must never talk that way about herself, but then I realized that this is exactly what I do to myself.

I don't want this for her.

I NEED you ladies. I'm just sorry I've been gone for so long.

Anita

hello ladies......before I forget to send this out.....HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

ok, now back to regular scheduled programing. Brandon's finger slipped out once today, so he got in trouble for that. Then tried to blame it on his ring finger.

Jane~ Our plans are simple......we are staying home! my MIL volunteered us to have Thanksgiving here, at Logan's birthday party earlier this month. So, it will be us, my MIL, my FIL and one of my BILs.

Jules~ hi and bye again! I hope the pies turn out great!!

Sue~ I hope your mama starts to feel better soon. How did the planting go?

Cristina~ Aloha! Man, I wish the weather here in MI is the same as it is in HI!! Busy little bee, seems to be an understatement lately! That would be the way I would do it. Do some, take a break, do some more, take a break, etc.

Sassy~ You are not the only one with a chance of the *s* word. we are suppose to be getting some tomorrow.

Marti~ Sounds like you guys have been busy!!! I hope your sciatica is doing better today.

Anita~ Welcome back! I am not sure if we met or not. I am Mindee. It is nice to meet you!
