Happy Thanksgiving all....I'm up early to get to the gym. I'm glad they are open today. I need to make up for the dinner I plan to have

Happy Thanksgiving to All! I made the Pumpkin Bake, it looks yummy!
I just did day 3 week 1 of C25K as well. Turkey is in the oven, I'm off to make mashed cauliflower. I'm doing everything I can to revamp my favorites.

This is my way of life now. I will not change it for any meal.

Good Morning Ladies

Hope you all had a wonderful TG. Leo & I did,we didn't skim on any of the traditional foods, except we eat in portion sizes. We had Turkey, gravy, green beans, creamed onions,Homemade cranberry sauce[cranberries & splenda],mashed sweet potato made with chicken stock & pumpkin spice, and that was it.At supper I had a turkey sand and the pumpkin bake dessert I got from FIT.Scale went up .5- lb but I believe I will lose it by tomorrows W-I.

Leo is still not feeling Well, his joints especially in the knee & shoulder area are brothering him.He has not fever,so I can't blame it on the flu.Plus he had the flu shoots last month,so I don't think is a late reaction.Of course doctor is on vacation and won't being in until this Mon.

Why don't we start a challenge starting Monday, just entering how much you want to lose now up until New Years Eve.I'm in a challenge right now and it motivates me not to make bad choices. We could do that, and motivate each other,ANY One interested, think about it.I like to see the 150's so that a 4 lb lost by the end of the year.

Hugs BB

BB, I will join you in the challenge.

Thanksgiving day was great, my food choices weren't horrible, but not too great either. OH well, I could have done much worse. Dragging myself out of my carb induced haze back to Low Carb life today.

Laura, thanks, my pic. link is from the day I met goal, so it's been up here a while.

DH and DS left at 4AM to go deer hunting. It was 27 degrees here, so I stayed in my warm comfy bed. After all, I don't need to get a deer, cause I got one a couple weeks ago with the hood of my car. LOL.

BB- I'll join ya too!

I don't have a Turkey hangover, but definately a carb hangover. I haven't had THAT many carbs in what? 3 Weeks? I don't think I can take it anymore, LOL! My body was like WTH are you doing girl?! I'm sure I have prolly gained back a pound or 2 and I am thinking it really isn't worth it. The Stuffing and taters was lish, but I can so live w/out the pie. I'm feeling a lil' better today too so maybe tomorrow I can go for a walk or something. I don't wanna push the issue because whatever this is landed in my chest and I already have asthma so... Get this, I now have dude looking at how many carbs are in a serving of everything, LOL! I guess I am finally rubbing off on him, hehe! He is amazed at how many carbs they put in stuff. Anyways, we are doing leftovers tonight, minus the pie for me and tomorrow I am strictly back on plan until Christmas!

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday! Hugs!

Good Morning Ladies

My W-I was this morn and i was surprised to see I lost 1-lb during the TG holiday week.I'm so happy to see the scale moving in my favor.Changed my ticker right away, hope it continues moving downward.

HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU WANT TO JOIN ME IN THE WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE THIS MONDAY[11/26]I guess on Monday we post a reasonable number of pounds we want to lose and we start then. The challenge will last for 4 weeks and 1 day. So lets think about this over the weekend.DON'T LET THE NEXT HOLIDAY GET TO YOU,EAT IN MODERATION,ALONG WITH PORTION CONTROL.

LILY-Glad that you had a great TG. I was lucky this year I left the goodies back at the supermarket, and didn't allowed them in my house. I ate the traditional turkey, gravy, green beans, mashed sweet potato with chicken stock and pumpkin spice, and made my own cranberry sauce[whole cranberries with splenda].

DIVA-I didn't give up my traditional foods,I just measured the amounts I ate. See the list I posted to Lily.I was full after the small amount and at supper I had I had a turkey sandwich and the pumpkin bake, that DIANE posted for us. and with all that I still lost [1-lb] at my W-I this morn. It had to be the portions that I allowed myself.

See you guys at the challenge.

Hugs BB

I just got back from the gym...it is a COLD day in Boston!

I'm in on the challenge! I leave for Ireland on 12/28 and have set a mini goal for myself. This will def help me stay motivated during the next month.

TG was good - I do a chicken instead of turkey and mashed cauliflower, which I like almost as much as mashed potatoes...the worst (carb) eating was a few pita chips with humus that night a few glasses of wine. I've been peeking threw the LC recipes, tried the jalapeno poppers yesterday!

Enjoy the weekend - Laura

Talking

I keep hearing over & over this mashed califlower situation. Can someone explain this to me, lol! Is it really a great sub for actual mashed taters; and if so, how do you make them? I have to go grocery shopping in a lil' so I am hoping to get an answer before I leave because I may very well put it through the test this week.

I am sneaking some good foods and such for the family little by little without even telling them and so far, no one has noticed. I am very pleased that the fiance' has finally come around. I LOVE that he looks at the carbs in foods now.
