Unfortunately, if I wait until there is nothing stressful going on in my life I would never have time to lose weight. The whole point of doing MF is that I don't have time to diet on my own. I am a new lawyer who is buying my first condo. Life is hectic and I can't just escape from it if I feel weak or hungry. I guess I will just have to see how things go.

Thanks for the schedule, I had planned to follow something similar. I will have to be diligent about drinking water. I will also have to drink some caffeine for the first week or so to ward off migraines. Ugh.

I am so thrilled there is a medifast thread!
I did medifast years ago and lost alot of weight. I didn't gain any back. I watched what I ate and exercised. I gained the weight back after five years from some life trama and I want to resume my journey back to where I was.
It is easy, no nonsense and it works!

Well, just a followup.

On January 12, I will have been on MF approximately 100 days -- just over three months. There have been occasional stalls for up to a week (tom, finding too many hidden carbs, and so forth).

But I am thrilled with my weight loss -- fifty pounds so far. It is inexpensive, it is fast, and I feel like a new person. I took my kids to the zoo today. Just fifty pounds ago, I found trips to the zoo to be absolutely exhausting. I was shocked to find that I was not tired at all, the kids tired out long before I did. I think dragging around fifty pounds was exhausting. I feel great.

And no, I do not sell MF and I have no financial links to the company whatsoever. I'm just very happy to have found something to help the outer me match the inner me.

Amazing, thanks for the summary of what is good and not so good, we ordered using the guide. No soups, no oatmeal but I love oatmeal so might try some next time. I did order chocolate shakes but not ready to go, somehow I forgot the the mocha were better. We did order some mocha as well.

Very nicely said! And congrats on your weight loss!

Regarding what are the tasty meals, it really is a matter of taste. My favorite MF meal is the banana pudding & I love the fruit shakes. Most people don't like these things! LOL You really need to try the different meals & make up your own mind. Also, what you don't like initially you may like after a while on the program when your tastes have changed.

I love the fruit shakes, but don't like the cranberry mango..yuck... I love the shicken noodle soup and have even double a meal and added the scrambed eggs in it, to make an egg drop soup... this was actually delish!
I read you can make a brown with the hot choc pack, with 2 tabs of water and 1/4 of egg beaters, bake for 20 mins. I haven't tried it yet.
I love the oatmeals. My have is the chicken noodle soup and the creamy tomato... I add the hot choc to my magic bullet and make a frothy hot choc.. it is soooo good.
