Find a gym that you can get to at lunch.

Have to say back in the day when i was doing 10 hour days. I had time before my night shower to do a walking video or an exercise video. Was nice to do it at home. Pop the video in do the video, get a shower then off to bed. Sometimes a bit of a snack before bed ( no you don't get fat eating then going to bed lol ). Was a nice end to my day. One day a week was the only time I had to do a real hard workout but found I really didn't need one if I kept up with the walking and aerobics videos.

I'm up at half five, out the door by 5.40 for a run, back in for 6.30, shower/change/breakfast and out to work at 8am, finish work at five and home for half five where I slump on the sofa never to move until bedtime!

In short... I make myself get up stupidly early

I've started getting up an hour and a half early - at 5am instead of 6:30. I have the "luxury" i guess of not having a M-F job, so I am only getting up this early 3 days a week... but I only go to the gym on days I work. on days off I do videos and things at home.
I've found that my gym is less crowded early am and it's very easy to get a good hour workout early in the morning... It also helps with my energy levels throughout the day and I work 9:30am-9pm the weekdays that I do work.
So I do get up at 5am, prepare my meals for the day, have a piece of fruit or something light before I go to the gym, leave for the gym around 6am, arrive there at 6:30, 30 minutes of cardio and then a weight circuit , get ready for work - leave the gym around 8:15 and then it's 45 minutes to work or so, depending on traffic... and I don't get home until after 10pm. I've only been doing this a week or so MWF, but it was an easy schedule change for me.
If you're a morning person, this might help... I know that for me, going to the gym after work is too hard - i'm tired and I make excuses and I just won't go.

I don't know where you work, but maybe there are things you could do while you're there? For example, if there's stairs, use those instead of the elevator. When I'm at work, I take advantage of any opportunity to move around. I also used to go for jogs on my lunch break, but that gets old fast. Just remember standing is better than sitting, and moving is better than well, not moving. Hehe. Hope this helped!

its really hard to work out while ur workin full-time. me personally i don't. lol. i wish i could but i just don't have time between work and my hubby and friends. i just diet and while its not that effective on its own i'm still reaping some benefits. i hope u can find what works for you. Good Luck!

Yes I wear flats and take any opportunity to go get something like go to the printer -- not all at once but after every item -- and when I am forced to wait for someone I will pace back and forth.

I am sometimes forced to stay late (because my train makes me late in the morning) but after 5 PM I can wear sneaks. I walk around the place *pretending* to be going to different offices but I am really just walking -- walk the entire 7th floor -- up the stairs walk back the 8th. Down the stairs.

If you keep moving all day with these stupid little things you look like a major *go getter* and it really packs a wallop.

looks like you got some great suggestions!! but i gues, you just have to really make a big effort to fit in workouts whenever possible.

also, even if u sit all day, u can do butt crunches n more while at ur seat (if u have a closed office door)
