Spanky - yeah, that's a great idea! I used to ask them to box have it before it was served, but I forgot about that! (sometimes I think they need to box 3/4 of it!!)
Great job on the exercise plb - whohoo!
I've been busy the last few days, but still eating pretty good - gonna get the birthday suit all pressed and pretty

Rainy Monday...Monday!
Well it is Monday again! Where did the weekend go?? I weighed in this morning and the scale did not move!!!!!!!!! That was depressing! But I am not gonna sweat it; cause I am just getting started and I could have done better on the food for sure!! SO here I go again another week ahead of me and this time next week I want to see the scale move!

spanky - no I haven't seen that... I shall have to look for it

I am down 2.4 for last week - that is a lot for me, I usually only lose half that. But getting closer to my goal. It is going to be hard to make but I am going to try twice as hard as I was for the first 50, haha.

Default Lets keep going!

hey! i haven't checked in for awhile - but are we on our way to our birthday goals?

I lost a pound this week, but the big news is I've decided to train for the mini-triathalon! Haha, 1 week ago I'd have said no way, but for some reason now it sounded like a good idea. why not?
soo....in addition to better eating, I need to exercise.

I know it seems so far away to July and Novemeber - surely we'll lose weight by then! But, it'll be here before you know it, so keep up all the good work ladies!

Congratulations ThinkThin Karen on your new goal of completing the mini Trialthalon! WOW! How dedicated are you!!!???!!
I am trying to get this weight loss thing together! Trying to figure out what is gonna work this time; as our bodies age one thing that worked before may not work this time around. My goal is to get to my ideal weight this time and stay as close to that as possible! No more out of control stuff!
Hope everybody else is hanging in!!
I have got to get an exercise program going!! Maybe ThinkThinKaren can motivate me in that direction.....

Hey plb! You can do it? I dunno what it'll take for you, the initial motivation for me is that my sister is doing it, and god forbid she get in shape and not me! (did I say that??) a little sibling rivalry I guess.

LEts see... I think we know that the reason we should do this is because of health and yadda yadda yadda, but sometimes we need a much more superficial reason to kick us in the pants, and then we start to feel better and do it for ourselves.
What's gonna kick you in the pants! I know... forty! Fat and forty? say NO WAY!
I don't know, something will motivate you... what's your carrot?
maybe we should share carrots so we can keep on bugging each other about it! Like "how's that little black dress fitting??" lol - (tight!)
anyway - have a good day/week, whatever
Karen

Question

Thanks!! You are exactly right; hitting 4-0 is not that far away! And I really have got to get it in gear if I am gonna be where I need to be!!
Sounds like a good idea to be accountable to someone who is reaching for the same prize!!
I have a pair of jeans that my husband used to love on me that I have not been able to wear... in years but I have hung on to them in hopes that one day!! Well you know...Maybe I should try to put them on; they probably would not go over my knees !! And then monthly keep trying them again! What do you think??
I hear ya on the sister thing I would feel the same way...unfortunately both of my sisters (who are overweight) seem to not even be concerned !

Plb! I would love to join your thread! I have a goal for Oct.1st. It's because I want to be at my goal for my anniversary Oct. 9, then we are going to the Rennaisance (sp?) Festival in Oct. plus my little son's birthday is Oct. 28th and the whole family comes to his party. And lastly, one of our favorite holidays .. Halloween!!! I already have my wings. I'm going to be a butterfly. So October is the month for me this year!!! (My birthday is in December on the 9th so I hope to be even less by then. And I love Christmastime too so that will be great. LOL)

Great idea!!

Hugs, Selina

PS If any of you are on your way to wonderful Onederland 199, join us in the Race to 199! thread. (It will probably be called something like Chicks Racing to 199 February 2007 after tomorrow) We are making a fresh one for February because ours is so many pages and most are not the current members who are posting.

You are more than welcome to join; soon as I get a chance I will check out the thread you mentioned cause I am at 215 right now and am dying to get to ONEDERLAND!!!!!!! The shame of it is I got there in 2003; by eating right exercising and getting support from 3 Fat Chicks...but some how fell off the wagon and so here I am again starting from square 1! But as I keep reminding myself I do not want to be fat and forty so now is my chance!! Welcome Soontobefitchick!!!

I just love that carrot!!!LOL!
