Hello, ladies! I just found this thread and think it's just what I need.
In July 2002 I weighed 207 (my heaviest at that point in my life). I went to the store and bought a digital scale, some Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds videos and some light weights. I also eliminated pop from my diet and tried to substitute healthier choices like salad instead of fries at Burger King. By September, I had lost 26 pounds and was feeling great. I sort of maintained for quite awhile. After my sister got married in September 2003, I started gaining. I joined Curves, bought a treadmill and more WATP videos and STILL gained. A couple of months ago, I checked my weight and I was up to 223 (my heaviest EVER). I lost 7 pounds, but have since fallen back off the exercise wagon and have gained half of it back.
I desperately want to be below 200. If I can get back there, I think it will be a little easier to continue in the hopes of being at 150 before I turn 40 in August.
My problems: I am a full-time high school teacher, mother of 2 (ages 9 and soon to be 12), and wife of 16 years. Life keeps getting in the way of exercise and healthier food preparation.
I am hoping to get some motivation and good ideas for how to get back into "Onederland".
Thank you,
Michele
