  • Welcome Robbin!

So ladies I am finally to the point where I am doing it and processing to join the military myself. Hubby is still AD AF but I am going into the Army National Guard if all goes well soon. :-)

Missy-*hugs* I hope you find your motivation. Do you have any pictures of yourself before you lost weight? Maybe you could take a picture of yourself then and now and put them on the fridge as a reminder of how far you've come. Just a suggestion!
  • DH left for Georgia yesterday. In a couple months he'll be in Iraq.

In other news, I found the Firm's new Total TransFIRMation system that I've been lusting over for months but couldn't justify the $80 {w/ shipping} for $50 at CVS this a.m. when I went to print the pics from yesterday off my camera.
  • Hey Ladies! Its been so long since I stopped in here, Its been crazy my hubby got home from deployment and within a week we had pcs orders to Texas so much for transition time back to regular life for him. So we have been in Texas for a little over a month finally got our household goods. I miss Hawaii who knew it would be so cold in Texas. Hope everyone is doing good, been trying to read back through all the posts!

  • Hi ladies! How was all of your holidays? Hope they all were great.. I got to spend the holidays with my family for the first time in 4 years which was wonderful!

Amber-That is great that your DH is back but sorry you guys had to PCS.. My DH just found out he is going to be deploying soon...
  • is this group still active?
  • Hi Everyone,

I'm not new to 3FC but am very new to the whole military experience. It looks like my DBF will be joining, starting out as an officer. It's something that's been in the back of his mind for years, and now he can't find a professional job and needs the benefits, plus with his family's military background it's something he values. But I am so nervous.

Can you guys tell me what to expect???!!!! Like, how long are your men gone in another state, or even overseas? He wants to propose within the next year when he gets the money and gets settled in the Army, so when we move in together I guess we'll be living at or by his base, and then how long is he at that base or having to go somewhere else? I just have no idea how this works. I am a professional in medical publishing and am pretty marketable so I'm not worried about getting a job in a different state, but I'm just so nervous about what life will be like. I already don't like the idea of missing him even for a month or so... or being several states away.

    Help!
  • Hey Everyone! Long time since I've been in here see its been pretty quiet around here. I started ww online last week YAY me! We pcs'd to TX and I've just been stressed beyond belief but things are starting to calm down.

Michelle~ usually they are at the duty station they get assigned to for 3 yrs now that will prolly include time with them being deployed as well. My Hubby was stationed in Hawaii since dec 03 and we just pcs'd (change of duty station) in Nov 07 so due to deployments we spent an extra year there. Now the first deployment to afghan he did was just 12 months but this last one to Iraq was 15 months.
  • Hey where is everyone???? Hope everyone is having a good week. I had my first WI since I started WW and Down 10 lbs YAY! So excited about that.
  • I'm here!!
  • Hi everyone... it has been along time since I have posted last. I hope everyone is doing great and to all the new ones that have joined since I've been gone.

married2asoldier- Congratulations on your weight loss! That is terrific!
  • We got our new orders!!!!
  • Where did you get your new orders to Shopaholic?
  • Annapolis, Maryland!!!
  • That's awesome! I bet Maryland is really pretty, especially in the fall. We're stationed down here in swampy Kings Bay, GA and I personally can NOT wait to get out of here.
