Kevin, sorry to hear the sinuses have you and your baby down! Do you use claritan or Zyrtec? My son has seasonal allergies, as do I--but not that bad and Claritan works great for us! Hope you both are doing better soon. I would kill for 50 degrees temps too! Anything over 40 would even be great! Still have a bunch of ice on the drive that hasn't melted and a ton of snow covering just about everything. The good news is we haven't had any major snows for awhile. But, I am glad to hear spring is springing down south. It gives us northerners hope!

Sandy, my goodness! I hope you make it to day 20 and you have a big, fat wallet to show for all your hard work! Glad you are making the time to drop us a line! hang in there--next Sunday will be here soon!

Eight pound hand weights to start off on sounds pretty extreme to me!! The dvd sounds good though. Maybe you could do the dvd and use less weight.

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. I got flowers and chocolates. I am going to try to stretch the chocolate out over a month or so--having just a piece or two a day. What can I say? Hello Again!

Yea, when I got the dvd, it said, I would need 3 to 8 lb weights and a stability ball. The ball is used on the 2nd 20 minutes. I should of went with 3 lbs. But I went for the gusto with the 8lb. Im not going to do it often. Maybe 2 times a week, til my arms are used to it lol. They are sore from my armpits to my elbow. Which is the area with the most jiggle. Maybe it will help. What I was looking for was a workout that would help with my hips and thighs and rear end. I have been reading alot about the wonderful "Pear" shaped figure. That I so wonderfully have. They make it sound like there is no hope for me to ever loose the fat there. My waist is 34 inches, then my hips are 44 inches. Way out of proportion. My 12/14's I bought fit well in the hips and butt, but are huge in the waist and a little baggy in the legs. They gap open when I bend or sit. Any ideas? Anything I can do to help? That is why I got both of the dvd's. They stated they targeted these areas. The Tae Bo flex is fun. But I dont know if it is really going to do any good. The Shrink the female fat zones, looks like it might, but she is so durn hard to do lol. I dont want to be a Pear LOL.

Its wonderful weather here today. Sorry Renee and Sandy. Its in the 60's and a light breeze. My son and I just walked to the store. About 30 minutes walk. The rain has stopped and everything is still damp, but the birds were out and the sun was shining.

I didnt get anything for Valentines. But everyone was well and happy and I was blessed with hugs and kisses from all of my men. That was gift enough. I got them all a card and a box of chocolates. And I got a piece of chocolate from each of their boxes lol.

My hubby wants me to make something gourmet in the sweet department. Renee?????? Help please. You are always speaking of the wonderful items you cook/bake. He isnt like me lol, he likes most everything sweet. Pies, cakes, cookies, etc. He wants something fancy and elegant. I have no clue why or what lol.

Sandy, how do you do it??? Work those two jobs and find time to rest or anything? Especially with 1 day off in a total of 14 days in a row of working! I applaud you for such strength. I feel like a weenie complaining about 7 days a week! Just dont get too tired or weary. Take care of yourself.

I guess that I ought to chime in on Valentiens day. Richard called and was wanting us to go out. Unfortantly I had to work til 945 last night so I asked for a raincheck. Corey call me on my cell and wished my happy v-day while I was working. UUUMMMMM chocolates, sounds pretty good to me. As for how I do this I take it one day at a time. I think that I might actually get off work before noon tomorrow. If I am that lucky I am going to come home and sleep til Corey gets off of the bus. Hope that everyone is doing great. Hey Girls!

Kevin, I didn't get anything for Valentine's Day either. I got up early and gave Gary and Jordan their card and chocolates before they left for work. The minute I gave Gary his I know he hadn't had a chance to get me anything. He felt so bad and I didn't let it show that I had hurt feelings. He was sick Thursady, Friday, Saturday and yesterday and still working so I know he didn't have the time and probably just wanted to get home and in bed. He said he will make it up to me when he feels better. We had a nice evening. Jordan went to stay all night with my mom so Gary and I snuggled up on the couch and watced tv. He offered to take me out to eat but I knew he didn't feel good and I really didn't want to get ready to go so we sat on the couch, ate cocoa pebbles and watched a movie

The weather here has been terrible. I think we went 14 days without sunshine and it has been so cold and windy. The sun is shining today and I am so glad to see it!! It's going to be in 50's later this week but with 2 days of rain, UGH! The ground is so muddy now you can't walk on it without sinking.

Sandy, you are one strong woman! 2 jobs and still have time to be a mom and take care of daily tasks I don't know how you do it!

Hey!

I did get to sleep when I got home yesterday. As a matter of fact I slept most of Monday. I felt to bad yesterday that I went to the doctor. I have strep. Yuck! I slept yesterday and most of today. I think that the worst must be over cause I have sweated so much. I was dared to show up to work tomorrow. So I guess that I will stay home tomorrow again. Ah the dirty cloths......wish that they would clean themselves. Well I guess that I better get a move on for now. I can feel another sweat comming on.

What a beautiful day!

It feels definately like Spring is upon us. Its around 68 degrees, light breeze, sun is shining bright, simply beautiful. I washed my car (it had been invaded by thousands of birds the other day, looked like a poo poo target, i was so ashamed to drive it into town!), planted a tree in the front, then raked and picked up sticks out of the yard. I pulled the grill out and I am going to grill some chicken in a bit. Hubby is working with a friend installing some computers for Calhoun Co. Sheriff's office. So Ive had a busy day.

Checking in to see how everyone is doing. The weather has been dreary here with all the rain, but the temps have been bearable. Lots better than the past few weeks. Ive been trudging along. I have a few reports due to HUD before friday, so this week for me will be filled with work. I have 5 authorities to close out the fiscal year for and upload all the data. Fun Fun. I am still feeling kinda week from this strep. I haven't eat right nor exercised in a week becuase of this. Yesterday was the first day that I got in both. I bought myself a new exercise dvd. I got a yoga/pilates and did manage one of the workouts on it. It was so easy I don't see how it will work but I am going to keep it up and try to get in the taebo at least 3 times a week. I am just waiting to stop feeling so weak. I am still waiting to get the home gym. I need a truck to haul it in and I haven't been able to bum one yet. Kevin, I hope that you don't work to hard on all that you have to do at work. I have managed to get the scale to move down 3lbs. I just hope that I will be able to keep it up. Time to get a move on this morning I have to get Corey ready for school. Then seeing how I have some time to myself I am going to kick back and do nothing for awhile. Can't wait to see how it feels to do nothing.

Ok I've got a really BIG OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I got into a pair of size 14button fly jeans and they looked pretty dang good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am suppose to get the home gym on Tues! Can't wait. Hope that eveyrone is doing great. I know that spring fever has gotten the best of us or should I say cabin fever. Got to think swimsuit! YUCK! Just thought that I would check in and say HI! I dont think Ill ever wear a swimsuit again. Ugly stretch marks. And some jiggly puff I cant seem to tone or firm. Im just happy though that Im alot healthier. I guess I am LOL. Here is my current dilemma. Last month, my TOM lasted all of 1 1/2 days. Very light. Nothing much too it. This month. NADA. Not a thing. I have no pain, I feel fine. I cant be in the family way, cause I had my tubes tied 14 years ago. Ive looked it up online some. It could be that I am over dieting/overexercising, stress, etc. I just dont know. Guess its the doctor for me.

It is supposed to be in the 70's all this week. Hooray! The nightime lows are to be in the 60's. Oh it will be nice. A few of the plants in my garden are beginning to show new growth. Little green sprigs poking up.

sorry I have been absent. The weather here has finally started to break too! We have had 40's and 50's for about a week now and the snow is just about all gone! Yipee! You can see grass again. Kevin, thanks for the reports on spring. Your neck of the woods sounds just divine! I have been walking outside and taking advantage of the sunshine and warmer temps.

Sorry I missed your request for something sinfull, Kevin. Yes, I am full of yummy ideas. If you still need a recipe. Let me know. I will check back and send you one in a personal message. As for the woman problem, the weight loss and dieting and exercise sounds like a logical explaination to me--but best to check with a doctor to be sure. Unfortunately, we aren't the spring chickens we used to be, huh?

I have to comment on the pear shape. I am an apple. So if we trade some of our excess Kevin, we should be in great shape! My hips and butt and thighs are ok--I carry the weight in front and in my boobs! Here is one good thing about being pear shaped though--it has been said that way to gain is actually good to protect women from heart disease later in life as opposed to the around the middle way which increases the risk. You are right thinking about just wanting to be healthier. As for the pants problem Kevin, have you tried a smaller size in a relaxed fit?

Sandy, that is great about the loss! Ugh...bathing suit time! I won't wear one anywhere anybody knows me. I will never wear a two piece again--this I am sure of.

Well, have a great day all. It is supposed to rain today, but temps are nice and moderate. May even hit 60. And I have also got a TON of laundry to do! 3 kids (2 messy boys and one girl on the verge of teenagehood--always changing clothes) and one husband who owns a machine shop makes for alot of dirty clothes. Ah...to be rich enough to just toss them instead of washing them!

Renee, YES, Id still like some sinful ideas for Hubby's dessert cravings. I made him some sugar cookies last night. Not too hard to do. Just cut them in circles from the package lol. Thats as fancy as I get. So any recipes you have that are easy but scrumptious, please pass them on!

About the woman thing. From what Ive read, I think Ive messed up my system. Some days I get so busy at work and then at home, that I know for a fact I am not eating well enough. I can honestly say, with much dismay, that sometimes I dont even eat maybe 900 calories if that much. Thats not good. Ive got to be more conscious of my eating. A lady I work with made the comment that my nails were white instead of pink, and that may be a sign of anemia? Could that be it?

Im glad the weather is finally becoming nice for yall. Its lovely here at the moment. Im firing up the grill again for supper. I finished painting my frog statue last night, so I sprayed sealer on it and Im going to place it in the garden in a bit. Its a ceramic statue of a male and female frog sitting on a bench staring at a lady bug. Its very cute, and for my first attempt at painting such things, I dont think I did that bad!

Kevin, wish that I had an answer for your female problem. You wouldn't be getting close to that wonderful time in our lives??? However I do know that sometimes a weight loss can cause that as well as stress. I think that it is better to be safe than sorryso I guess that I would go to the doctor.

Renee, I am an apple too. I use to say that I was like a cloud fluffy not fat. I try not to say that anymore.

I too am washing some cloths and also wishing that I didn't have to do so. I have never thought about a 2 peice swimsuit heck a 1 peice scares me to death. I have started on my tan though. Just a quick note before I leave for work. I went to the doctor yesterday. They put me on Provera for 10 days. Then wait and hope for TOM. If nothing occurs, then I have to go back and have blood work and an ultrasound. Im hoping it comes. I better get going. I hope everyone has a great day. Take care and Ill check in this afternoon.

Kevin, hope all goes well with your doctors visit. I know there are so many things that can mess up our cycle.

We are having warm weather but are paying the price. Rain and severe thunderstorms for the next 3 days. It rains and storms alot here in the the Spring time. I love the sun and feel much better when the sun is out. Rainy days just seem to drag by when there are so many in a row.

I had to have a breast biopsy a few weeks ago. Thank God all is well with that. I was down for a few days. No cooking, cleaning, lifting. I didn't know what to do with myself. Gary took off work to take care of me but I was glad to get back to taking care of myself!! Just got over a stomach virus that I had for 2 days. Today I feel 100% better but Gary and Jordan have it now. They are sleeping and hope they are better when they wake up.

Better get going. I'm a little behind in laundry and house work.
