  • I hate losing especially the way we did tonight.

Congrats by the way to Santana for his "no hitter" against us.

Maybe it's time for MLB to implement replay on fair foul calls.

Edited to say not just because it was against us but there have been a lot of questionable calls this year. Plays at the plate, tags that were not tags.
  • AL East is tightening, only 3 games separate us from first place. We are cruising along.
It is a bummer having so many guys on the DL... we are getting some back, so it will be interesting to see who is sent down or out and who will stay.
The 'replacements' are all fighting for their jobs.

    Talk of trading Youkilis
    {Caroline not at all happy with that chatter}
  • 2 touchdowns and an extra point to my field goal......

    niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice....

if you're a fan of ROCKS!

leave me alone while I depress over 5 straight losses.....
  • Kindly note that The Red Sox are only one game behind the Yanques and only two games out of first place in the American League East.

And there is a team behind us. Thank you Toronto.

Sweetcaroline must be whispering sweet nothings into the ear of her friend Bobby V.

.... Yes Bill... and my whispering at Robert goes a little like this .. ...
  • ONE in a row bay-bee....

my first thoughts about this team are finally coming together...

there is no MAGIC in that....

    dang!

I hope they prove me wrong!
  • I just want a win. Please

Also we are on ESPN tonight, great.

Should have said I just want a run.
  • The Celtics have tied their series with the Heat - in overtime no less. Erin go Braugh and all that.

Has anyone noticed that Gary's team, the Oakland Athletics, have accumulated 11 shut outs this year?

[Note to self: Distract them from noticing Boston baseball.]
  • Bill if things don't start getting better down here I may just come an A's fan...(had to drop rooting for them once my buddies son wasn't picked back up for another year in the low minors after an arm injury recently...although there still is some communication)

I'm sure it goes w/o saying that I am not a celtics fan...lol...but I sure would love to see them beat the heat!

After getting our butts smakcked again by DIANNE I am still concentrating on my #1 love....

    GO KINGS!

  • Yep, that was a nice series for the Rockies. I've been kind of out of MLB talk because of the JUCO world series going on, but that finished up on Saturday night, so I'll start paying more attention. I have no idea what is going on with the other playoffs in the other sports. I'll have to catch up!

Awesome championship game for JUCO, though. Iowa Western Community College are champions..... in case you were wondering!
  • WE LOVE L.A.

The sports bar was jam packed and loud rooting for the KINGS...I think I was the only one watching both KINGS and DODGERS....no one seemed to be watching the basketball game...

but then we are in Padre country....

Kudos to my beautiful wife for braving it with me and step-d
  • 2 in a row over the fillies...back to lovin my baseball

    Go KINGS!

Makes me sick rooting for those guys....

but lovin' every minute of it right now....

    keep the heat on!
  • Have I said how much I hate when they play in Houston.
  • Yes, The Elderly seem to withstand The Heat when pushed into a corner.

Think I need to introduce Sweetcaroline to the joys of the basket ball.
