  • Hello all...sorry for the gap between posts. I'm trying to keep up with everything. This is my 3rd week on the program, and I will get weighed in tonight at the new Brick, NJ office. He is also my primary care giver as well.

Usually my weigh in day is Saturday but the offices were closed due to the Holiday (Yom Kippur - and Happy Holidays to all of our friends of the faith here).

So I will post my results when come back.

Just know that in two weeks - I was encouraged. It's not something for everyone. It's not. You have to be determined and ready for the discipline of the program.

    Hang in there.

    Kimberly.
  • lomalindarn - your heart and mind are in the right place, you just need to find the right program that works for you.

I want to share a story: last week I walked past my neighbor's house, we share backyards a couple of houses away. I see the kids, I see the husband. Anyway a woman was getting out of a car and I did not recognize her. It was my neighbor who lost 240 lbs. since last September. I did not have the nerve to ask specifics - yet. She did tell me she has been hungry all of the time. I do not think weight loss comes without some sacrifice. So my point is that you will figure this out. If not AW you will figure this out!
  • OOPs - lomalindam - made a mistake.

My neighbor lost 120 lbs. She started at 240!

I must be lightheaded after a goof milk day. Trying for another one tomorrow.
  • Ok, sophie, thanks.

I know on the long distance program, I don't have the luxury of speaking to an Accuweight doctor, but would it hurt to request this? I wanted to ask if PAPAYA ENZYME or CELLULASE would help me with vegetable digestion.
  • I think you need to speak with your counselor. I am sure that you are not the first person with this sort of issue.

  • Just finished my 1st cycle.
I lost 13lbs, and 9 inches, which is way more than I have ever lost in 12 days. With WW it was an average of 2 pounds a week, so I am happy with these results. I need to break the habit of tasting the foods when I marinate/season, because my counselor said that it slowed down the weight loss. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to cycle 2.
  • HI everyone im back! Its been awhile!!!
CONGRATS Genesis! & SophieSnowAngel WOW congrats to your neighbor!

I am back on the bead diet as of today...things were so extremely crazy in my family and I was staying in NJ since late August & all i gotta say is i am SOO HAPPY to be back home!!! Got back Tuesday night. I gained weight when I was in NJ but I have faith that I will lose it & still be at my goal my the New Year :-)

    So how is everyone else???
  • Hi all! I am struggling. I am close to transition and these last pounds are giving me the devil. I am also so bored and life has dealt me some blows in the past couple of weeks. I am exercising and I look great - not perfect. I have given myself 3 more weeks to do this.

    Lomalindam - how are you??
  • I been on the bead diet since Friday & already lost 10 of the 20lbs i gained the whole month & a 1/2 i was in NJ.

    sophiesnowangel
hang in there you can do it!!!
  • Hi all, I haven't checked in since originally posting in August that I was starting my bead diet on 9/3. Well, I am now on Phase 3 (as of 9/26) perhaps my experience is different, but I am LOVING IT!
I am getting consistent results. I will not lie, Phase 1 was tough, bc I do not like green apples. Milk days are a breeze bc I have many wonderful recipes. One in particular I whip it until it becomes ice cream..yummy.
So far I am having huge success, loving my results. Wise counsel I received here...THIS IS TEMPORARY. I tell myself that often when I am weak, which is not often. Besides the results are so motivating you can't help but continue...literally my pants that fit snug prior to 9/3 are not falling off...
    Phase 1 results - 13lbs/18 inches
    Phase 2 results - 6lbs/9.5 inches
so I am beyond happy...THANKS TO ALL for posting such encouragement..those doing program..stay focused and keep your eyes on the prize...and you can do this!!
  • Hello all:

It's been 4 weeks on the program and I've lost just over 23lbs. That's comes to an average of just over 5lbs a week.

    Keep the faith!!!

  • Hi everyone, sorry I have been MIA. I've had a minor procedure to remove something on my back, and it got infected (ewwwww) and now I'm taking antibiotics. Feeling generally worn down from the whole ordeal. Good news is that I haven't gained weight. somehow it's sticking to that new number even though I've gone back to eating just about everything. (still stop around 8 pm)
  • Hello everyone! Glad to hear that you all are still progressing. Me, I'm doing okay with the weight loss but I could be doing better.
sophiesnowangel I am where you are, down to my last 10lbs and it's a struggle. It took me forever to break 148, now I toggle between 143 and 146. I'm getting burnt out with the veggies. I'm craving a "real meal" but determined to stay focused. I've come too far and want to see this whole thing through transition. I want to do it the right way so I don't have to start all over again.
My fiance thinks I'm in denial about my weight loss. I still wear clothes that are too big because for some reason I don't think I'm ready for my smaller clothes (although they fit).
]lomalindam have you talked to your counselor about your stomach issues? I'm on the long distance program as well and I speak with my counselor weekly. I would also assume that you can even call one of the offices to speaker with one of the doctors.

  • lakeskou - thanks for the will power dust! Need it!

I am sooo close. I keep thinking- keep going - keep going.

My husband encourages me by saying that I have come so far in a few months, it was 5 years in the gaining!
